No Customer service, calls kept ringing and no one picks up. Trying to get a hold of a live person to answer the phone to get a refund for a double charged item. No way no how, not online and you have to drive all the way back in person to speak to someone live. Costco Management need to really get the Membership service up to speed. Our visit to Costco was a bit chaotic, but it was Costco on a Saturday- to be expected. I love Costco, so definitely willing to brave the crowd! Parking was easy, lots of selection and items to choose from. While checking out I went over to grab some food while my group was checking out. It was a bit confusing what was happening with ordering food, people were ordering at the counter and some at the kiosks. Kiosks were all full so I stood in line while there was little direction for next steps. A group and I stood there for several minutes and didn't get far. The crew was hustling and working so hard, but I think a sign would be beneficial when working so customers know what works best with their flow/ system! BUT Unlabeled aisles, no "map" to find items, & most irritatingly they PURPOSELY move items around regularly so that you are lost in a maze trying to find anything. We are Seniors & new members. Only having gone 3 times now, each time takes an exhausting 1-1/2hrs & a bill close to $200, just as they planned, although we only wanted to get paper towels! Being a member since their opening at Bunker Hill location , I am hooked. My new favorite treats ( thank you dad for turning me on to these) no salt added nut containers, large avocadoes and water keep me coming each week. Their fast self checkout with people actually there to help you check out faster is a plus. Shopping at Costco on a weekend is a no-no due to large and chaotic crowd. But we didn't listen to ourselves and went anyway. First, we had a hard time navigating between the walking human barriers in the parking lot. Then, we had to hunt down a parking space before other vehicles did. Eventually, we found a parking space in the outer rim. Inside, the store was no better. Basically, it was a bumper car scenario with the shopping carts. I felt like I was walking in Time Square. Mrs told me to pick up dinner at the food court. I waited over 40 minutes after paying for a large pizza and a hot dog combo. Now, The Mrs. insists that we will attend the grand opening of Costco in the neighborhood of Aliana on 6/27/24, . She is looking forward to all the feebies, not I. One year ago I discovered a Keurig K-Mini K21 coffee maker. Unfortunately I moved and never used it. Now I'm back in Texas. This little coffee maker is the very best for a small area. I have been an Executive Member of Costco for over 10 years and have always had a great experience. In fact, I rave so much about Costco that I've switched several friends from Sam's Club over to Costco. Today however I am an extremely pissed off customer. I like to come to Costco with my mother (who I have added on my account), I usually bring her with me all the time because we both have things to shop for. Today while checking out, the cashier Rigo, walked around the plexiglass of his register to come and tell me that I cannot use my Costco card for my transaction and for my mothers transaction. Well why the hell not? She's on my account! He then asked my mother to show her card and then he shut his mouth up. According to him this is a new STORE policy not company and if I had an issue to direct that problem with management. Well then.. hey.. Costco Management at 23645 Katy Fwy.. this is a shitty new policy you have in place. What is this? The new Costco Policy Enforcement Squad? Policing customers now? Costco center is not well managed. Quite a few employees are rude. The Eyecare center employee Maria started a tirade when I said that I had not picked up the glasses. Instead of guiding me, a new purchaser of eyeglasses, the started making non-sensical statements. When I was making a purchase, she took a 5 minute break to help her coworker. The staff here aren't the best but I'll get into that later. The biggest issue here is that all of Katy shows up and there's always enormous lines. I don't understand why they don't move the snack aisles near the cash registers around so that there's not 2 huge lines of carts lined up to check out for 10 different open checkout counters. The checkout process is chaotic and messy and no one is following COVID spacing guidelines. Also , these staffers are so busy or inattentife that I actually got double scanned for a couple of items that I luckily caught. This Costco employee "Ryan" was pretty rude and acted like he didn't give a crap when I tried to get him to cancel out the transaction mistake that they just did (again, just chatting casually and rushing through the whole process). You almost never see crappy employees at Costco but I guess there's always some out there! I guess I still prefer the Sugar Land or Bunker Hill locations read more

I remember back when this store originally opened. Quality service and product in those days. Up until after covid. I don't want to get to far off subject but I personally thing every one got lazy or just flat out doesn't give a f@ck about anything. Now, I purchase 5 dozen eggs and it's either the warehouse or distributor doing this but they're consistent about smashed eggs. It is ridiculous. Especially when you buy 5 f@cking dozen eggs. Majority of the people up front don't give a shit what the aisles look like either. Just like to mention next time I am going in football pads next time because the customers are even worse. I have to power through entitled shit birds all day blocking everyone and not moving there carts out of traffic flow, then I'm just gonna hit the truck stick. I purchased four Bridgestone tires from the Costco Tire Centre for my 2018 Audi Q5 on March 18th, 2024. These tires came with an 80,000-mile/5-year warranty. However, within less than a year and under 8,000 miles of driving, the two rear tires were completely worn out. Concerned about the premature wear, I visited the Costco Tire Centre in West Katy to file a warranty claim. After a three-hour inspection, the tire centre supervisor denied my claim. His reasoning was that Audi vehicles, particularly the Q5, exert approximately 70% of the pressure on the rear tires, which explains why my front tires remained in good condition while the rear ones deteriorated rapidly. I was taken aback by this justification for rejecting the warranty claim. If Audi vehicles were inherently prone to such uneven tire wear, wouldn't that have been a well-documented issue with clear disclaimers? I find it hard to accept this reasoning as a valid basis for denying coverage. Do I have any options for escalating this matter, or would my only recourse be to leave negative reviews without taking further action? read more

After not receiving an email from Costco I decided to go to customer service at the Katy location. After speaking to a customer service staff member and letting her know that I have not received anything through my email she just kept asking me over and over again if I checked my email and making it sound like it was my problem since it was purchased through Groupon. She pretty much blew me off and didn't even try to help me out. Looking around i realized that at the time i was waiting I did not see anyone in the customer service department greeting people with a smile or a simple hello. it's very disappointing considering the popularity of this store. Tried to get a new set of tires. my wife had great experience at Bend, OR store. Got two replaced and within 10 miles my tpms sensor lit up. Also had two lug caps stolen off wheels while at the store. Got tires replaced Saturday and went back Monday to get reimburesment for stolen caps. They refused to check out tire pressure and clear tpms sayong they were too busy. Dont bother. I dont trust them to give more than mediocre service. Quick and easy process. Covid items and their status posted at the front door. Smaller than other Costco's and the item selection isn't as good as the Woodlands location. Other than a lack of items, it's a good place to pop in and out of as the parking lot is never crowded. The game lines move quickly as well! read more

Purchased a Lenovo laptop before starting a new job, then immediately realized this was a terrible purchase as the screen has an awful glare and low brightness/low contrast. I haven't had absolutely no time in between fulltime work/newborn/toddler. I show up in the store 10 days pass the exchange period and managers pretty much tell me "too bad, can't do nothing for you." I called the Costco customer's service and I am told by representative that Costco managers actually have the ability to override these and if they wanted, they could have helped me out given that is was only 10days pass the return/exchange period. read more

The products are consistent from Costco to Costco with a few exceptions that are regional (I recently learned) based but the customer service is great here. The customers are the mix of the people that live around this Costco.The STAFF that works there seriously needs an overhaul. I'm talking from the greeters all the way to the managers. I don't know but I really feel that this Costco needs an overhaul from the management all the way to the through the store. Just about being kind and and polite to ALL people. So be warned. Do not purchase electronics there. I purchased an LG OLED TV from here and it came with an extended warranty. Technician came by yesterday and he noticed a small crack in the bottom right of the TV. I told him that i never noticed it and he mentioned that it happens a lot with these TVs because the power supply is on the bottom right of the Television. He said he will let Costco know it is the panel and that they will be contacting me. Reached out to Costco today and they said they cannot approve the repair because of the crack. (Updating review) Costco liquor store worst customer service! I'm a tourist and just visiting Houston. My boyfriend, her sister, and I went to the Costco's liquor store to buy a gift for our friend's birthday. They are Costco members while I'm just accompanying them. (I have entered the Costco store with them without anyone preventing me to enter. I have also went with my aunt who is a member of Costco before.) So at the liquor section/store (outside Costco) the attendant asked for our IDs. I showed my driver's license. And the attendant said, "This is not a US ID. You should step outside." Why would you NOT allow a 25 year-old with a valid government ID (who is with is a Costco member) to go inside & buy some drinks? Seriously Costco, please explain what rule is this? Only US IDs are allowed to go in a Costco liquor store??? This is discrimination. An unfair treatment of equality just because I'm not a US Citizen/resident. read more

Always busy but it's a nice clean store. I prefer this location over the one on Mills Rd. I would like to go to the store closer to my house, but for whatever reason, they don't carry barramundi fish in their frozen department. I do wish their product line was more consistent at all the locations. Even the employees I've talked to about this complain. I also wish they had the scan and go app like Sam's club has. I'm updating my review. I did get a membership to Costco over the weekend. I would like to say that the lady at the membership desk was so nice!!! Her name was Melissa and what a pleasant experience it was getting our membership. She had excellent customer service. Melissa also gave us some great information about some of their products and the return policy. Which is UNBELIEVABLE!!! My hubby and I went on Sunday. Oh WOW were they ever busy. Every cashier had at least 10-15 people in line the whole time we were there. Thank goodness the lines moved fast. We saw way to much that we want to buy. My daughter even had me pick up a few things for her. We did buy 2 new dog beds for our dog and he is super jazzed about them. We paid the same amount for 2 beds that PetSmart & Petco have for 1! The wine selection is large and very reasonably priced. Of course bought some of that too. We can't wait until the Cypress location opens this summer. Melissa said they are trying for June 2019 if all goes well. I would also like to say the gentlemen named Jose helped us find something in the electronic department and was also our cashier. He was just as friendly as Melissa. It is nice to see people who like their jobs! Of course we will be back. (I really should have bought the cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing.) I have been a member of both Costco and SAMs Club for years, even Pace when it was in Houston for a short time. Both Costco and SAMs Club have similar items, but different brands. Some of the big differences at Costco are the produce cooler, the dairy cooler and the discount liquor store. Costco also has monthly specials and will send you a coupon book. They also have a mobile app with the specials included in the app. Some Costco items can also be purchased online and shipped to your house. The layout of the Katy location is very close to the Willowbrook Mall location. Bunker Hill doesn't have the dairy cooler that Katy has. Costco carries their own brand of high-quality items under the Kirkland name, many have lifetime warranties. I purchased a suitcase 4 years ago and returned it a month ago for a full refund because some stitching came out on the front pocket. Great service. Check the electronics, wine, meat, tires, clothing, jewelry and appliances at Costco...you will find some great deals. My largest purchase at Costco has been wood laminate flooring. The flooring has been in our house for about ten years, and we are still very happy with it. Costco gas is very reasonable compared to the local gas stations. Just make sure you follow the rules when you go...enter from one side, exit from the other, and have your membership card with you. The one thing I don't like about the new Katy location is getting there by car. If you are arriving from I-10 or from the north side of the Grand Parkway, getting into the Costco parking lot is easy. If you are coming from south Grand Parkway, Kingsland does not yet connect...you have to u-turn on the other side of I-10. I am sure the nearby construction may fix this in the next year. read more
