I wish I had a JC Penney like this one nearby! I was in Delaware on a business trip and stopped by the Christiana Mall. This JC Penney is in the mall. This is probably the neatest, well-stocked, and cleanest JC Penney I have ever been to. The employees here were very nice and helpful. There is plenty of parking at this location as the mall parking lot is fairly large. This store in particular had a lot of stock and a lot of clothes hanging. What I liked is that it was well organized and neat. The cashier was friendly and helped me locate a discount coupon in my account. I will for sure stop in to this JC Penney if I am ever back in town. read more

What is going on with JCPenny? Who is in charge of how the store looks...its a jumbled mess all the time! Upstairs is even worse the plus size department has cloths just thrown every where as if tjey were going out of business. The childrens department is a mess things all over the floor its just terrible. You can never find help except at the cash register & they are too swamped to help you. They removed all the price readers on the walls that really pissed me off because they came in handy. I feel like I'm in a warehouse rather then a department store. In the back near the optical department is a joke all red tag stuff just thrown back there. Get some pride about yourself JCPennys. I wont be coming in till you do. read more

We bought curtains here and the service met our expectations. But we had to order our curtains and were told that they would arrive "by the end of the week." That was 9/21/14. It is now 10/18/14. About a week after our visit we received a letter from JCPenney stating that we should expect our Black Out curtains sometime after 9/25/14. Today I went online and the curtains are on back order but it still states that it should be shipped 9/25/14. This prompted me to call JCPenney. The JCPenney representative states that in reality our Black Out curtains will not be shipped until after 11/21/14 and I should expect to receive them by 12/2/14. I will not be shocked when JCPenney fails as a company. This is not my first complaint against JCPenney and unless they change service dramatically, why would anyone want to buy from them when they have a multitude of other department store options? read more

The JCP Hair Salon is FABULOUS! My hair stylist is SIMA, and I can attest that she is the one of the best, if not the BEST hair stylist in the tri-state area. I have been to the best hair salons around here folks. Kudos to JCP. read more

I've been to JcPenney before but I think this was my first time at this one inside this mall. There's always sales going on here and at other stores so I try to take advantage of them. Huge selection of men's jeans and sports wear. read more

I just moved to the area and have yet to find a salon. I stopped in yesterday for a quick trim before the holiday and my experience was horrendous. First of all, the two woman at the counter were having a private conversation, which is fine but were clearly annoyed when I came up to them. I asked if there was any availability for a trim and she says yes rather snippy and handed me a piece of paper to write my name. I went on to ask about pricing and she rudely said "it depends on who cuts your hair." I understand that but I went to ask another question about who would cut my hair and what the average cost is and she ignored my question as well as my presence and continued her private conversation with her co worker. Completely baffled by the terrible customer service ( I'm a restaurant manager so I'm well versed in the service industry) I just stood there waiting for them to finish their gossip. STILL I stood there waiting to ask my questions again in hopes of an answer and they refused to acknowledge me so I crinkled up the paper given to me to write my name down and left. On a side note there was another woman who worked there that saw what happened and as I walked away I heard her say "wow you two are extremely rude" and I want to thank that person for speaking up. read more

JCpenney is a horrible store. IT is so filthy and disgusting. I found a dirty diaper underneath clothes and bugs all over the floor. what kind of a store is this. I do not recommend to shop here. Everyone has a poor attitude. I see employees stealing clothes. They do not know how to run a store. One of the managers was so rude to me. I found a bikini with a period stain yes i said PERIOD STAIN!!!!!!!! The fitting rooms smelled so BAD i almost gagged. They need more fitting rooms. Your going to the dumps like sears! read more

Arrived at the store opening time this morning (5/13) to find that they were out of their highly advertised special of pearl earrings for $10. The ad did say "while supplies last" but we were the first ones to the jewelery counter this morning. I guess the supply didn't last until the actual sale. Bait & switch in my opinion. We talked to store manager who was nearby and he apologized but really didn't seem to care. They were out of stock and that was that. Go Amazon!! read more

They do not service or warranty what they sell. I bought a $1200 mattress and box spring set. One year later it sags in the middle. They sent a guy out from a firm called "bed check" who confirmed the issue, but he can't do anything but report back to JCP. JCP has abandoned and lost the warranty claim. Complete silence since the contractor visited and complete ignorance on the phone. Never, never, never again. read more

As large as this store is and they only have one dressing room open.....ridiculous. There is a line of people waiting to get in to try on clothes. Never again will I shop here. Today I tried to pay my bill in store. In the Sephora section and the sales associate Brianna ask me how can we help. I said could I pay my bill here she said sure as she rolled her eyes. The girl next to her said come back quick and she said I will. I was upset that I as a customer was not a # 1 priority and used as a sale opportunity. I let it go. Then we go to the register, I told her I had my bill as she told me to swipe my card 2x I ask is the bill good enough and if not, as I searched for my card, she said no that is ok I forgot I can swipe the bill. We don't get to many bills here. Next I went to the salon for some 1 liter bottle of Paul Mitchell Detangler. The receptionist ask how may I help you I said there was not any Paul Mitchel( she told me to wait as she turned her back to me and checked the coffee pot) then I observe two salon stylists shooting the breeze. When she turned back to me she she asked me with an attitude "What do you want." I told here what I needed and another customer came up and she said she needed to help this customer first. I left very disappointed. I will shop again but not for a long time. read more
