After our first experience, where there was a great attention to detail on making sure our frames…read morewere seated properly & even, adjusting nose pieces & arms, going over options & insurance allowances, we were both surprised by the lack of interest from staff. They legit sat there for an hour without a word, until we went up to the counter with our selected frames. They never fitted them to us & didn't go over options, just put in what we had before. The hubs had to tell them what yo change & the gal just seemed to be inconvenienced by our presence. It was 930am, so, not like we were keeping them from lunch or making them stay late. I'll likely just get my script & buy elsewhere next time.

That said, this (my 2nd annual) exam did feel rushed. Once I had my new script, nobody bothered assist with glasses. I was just left to go through the inventory, with no prices listed & with no knowledge of what my insurance would cover. Previously, I was told what my coverage allowed to be able to select from those fully covered or choose something else. Also, once I'd picked a couple of potential pair, I just stood there holding them for a ling time. Eventually, O went up and asked to have them priced. This was all done from behind the main desk & not at the usual desks in the selection area. It seemed like I was bothering them by being there. I did select a pair and my options. There was no guidance on what options were available. Apparently, I was expected to just know what they offered & what I wanted. It just seemed weird & not like the last visit I'd had.

My appointment went well. Staff were friendly and experienced. I purchased glasses, sunglasses and contacts. Comparatively, after the add ons of scratch resistance and anyi-glares, the pricing was significantly more than getting the same from my previous provider. Top notch exam and fitting. In other words, I purchased the same price range frames, exact same contacts and added the same coatings, but the add-ons here were apparently much higher, as I did have sticker shock of over $400 more than expected, based on previous experience with another provider. Also, I did not like that the written prescription was not provided, thus, I was unable to purchase additional items elsewhere, without going back in to request a copy of my script. I should have asked for it to start with, I accept blame for that. In summary, good service, good products, prices seem inflated compared to others.
