Dylan visited the property and decided one of the trees was too big and wanted to charge higher amount ($650). I agreed. He then set out to do absolutely whatever HE felt was convenient. He cut one tree down. "Trimmed" another tree. At this point he called me and said he's done with 2 trees, can I send in the money for finishing up two trees. This was a blatant lie. I did not ask for proof, because I didn't think disgusting liars like Dylan existed anymore. I sent him the money. He sent me photos of what he did afterwards, which showed two of three trees still standing. On asking why there are 2 trees still up, he mentioned he spoke to the tenant and decided to keep the tree up. This didn't make any sense. Nobody changes the agreement without discussing it, lies about it to the person paying and gets paid as though they did the full work. That's when he ended up "finishing" the other tree with minimal work done (of trimming) because he had enough with this. Mind you his communication with me was to say nothing about all of this until he got paid, then he said his life was in danger to cut trees. Like who the heck forced him to work on things he didn't want to? He then said he'll "make it right" by showing up on Monday to fix it. Would you guess what happened next? He didn't show up and decided to run away with the money. Dishonest cheats like this shouldn't exist. I'm now looking at legal options to deal with the mess. Please find someone more honest to work with.

Dean and his guys were good from day one, and any issues I had were quickly resolved (let's face it, asking someone to work on my 39 year old house will reveal some underlying issues). Yes, Dean is my go-to guy. He and his wife are patient and very understanding, ask a lot of questions to make sure they're clear on what's needed, and they follow-up and communicate through the project and after. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone, even to people who aren't particularly handy and just want an honest team on the job. Honest and dependable, good folks.

Initial communication and scheduling were easy. I thought our understanding of the job was good. I had a wall taken down and a doorway enclosed to expand a closet. Photos are attached of before and after as well as close ups of the areas of concern. Sadly, upon sharing my concerns, I was told that baseboards were not part of the job and that he was "helping me out" by doing the patches. Also, he said that the sheetrock was a patch and the work pictured here is standard in patching.... I will be finding a new contractor to come sand, patch, and retexture the walls and completely replace the baseboards. Also of note is the mess that was left. None of my furniture nor my hardwood floors were covered, leading to an extra $250 cleaning fee from my regular housekeeper and scuffs in my flooring. Do yourself a favor and keep looking.
