I rejected the goods under the Act and took them to the small claims court. I won my claim and most of my court costs but it was a horrible experience which they made as difficult for me as possible every step of the way. I had a young baby at the time and I regret ever having set foot in this shop. I also discovered after the court hearing that the installation they had arranged was dangerous and did not confirm to 'Gas Safe' standards. I have photographic evidence of this and the court judgement against them is a matter of public record. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Didn't show so rang at 5 past and was put on hold and then cut off. Rang back and was told that the driver had overslept and would be there in 10 minutes. At 20 past with still no cab, we decided to take our own car to the airport. Called from the car to tell them (at 5.25) and was indignantly told that the driver was on his way. Airport car parking cost 120 quid more than the fare but at least we made the flight. No attempt by Chigwell Cars to make contact since. Won't bother again.

Chigwell cars were booked a for a special occasion to transport Grandparents to a special meal for…read moretheir grandson's eighteenth birthday at the Gherkin. The passengers included a disabled passenger who has walking difficulties. The Driver took one and a half hours to reach the City from Loughton and then got lost and was unable to find the Gherkin. The passengers were given no choice but to swap into black cab which got them there in minutes. I have made 2 attempts to ask Chigwell cars to investigate the journey and after being promised I would be called back I have heard nothing from them. POOR CHIGWELL CARS Clearly we will not be using Chigwell cars again. Please re consider using them especially for a special occasion.
