I'm not even sure where to start with this business and its very poor customer service. First, I want to say I find it highly unprofessional this company put my personal business out there on the web. I will be contacting a lawyer to speak with them about the ramifications from you doing so. Second, you never contacted me when you made the decision to no longer work with us. You act like we're not allowed to amend or change anything with our taxes if we made a mistake or misspoke. You stated our taxes would be completed on 6/10/22 and when we contacted you on 6/13/22 you had every excuse in the world for why yet again our taxes weren't done. I have email proof that we asked you week after week when our taxes would be done and we continued to get excuses. From your computer broke, to your on vacation and then the "next week" excuse kept happening, week in and week out. To any future clients, be very careful when choosing this business! She literally got all my information for my business and myself and then decided to never file my taxes because I made one mistake when speaking about child day care? Very odd. I am dealing with a family matter as my Dad is in the hospital with stage 4 cancer. However, that has nothing to do with my taxes getting completed. This CPA could have dealt with this in a more professional manner instead of getting flustered and quitting the job that was to be completed in a timely manner. read more

We used Jeanne to prepare our 2018 tax return and our experience was satisfactory. Fast forward to this year when filing our return for 2019 and we had a much different experience. I emailed her in February giving her a heads up that we'd like to use her again to prepare our returns. I submitted all required documentation to her on April 6th and also sent a long, detailed email about what has changed for us for this filing period. In this email, I documented our new mailing address because we bought a home. On May 4th, we still had not received a response from Jeanne that our returns had been completed, so I reached out to make sure she had everything she needed to finish our paperwork. I was also due to have a baby any day at that point, so I wanted to make sure she was set up and all questions were answered before I was sucked into the newborn baby black hole. She responded four days later saying she was doing a sleep study and that's the reason for her delay in processing our returns. First of all, it would have been professional to alert your clients that you would be taking longer than normal to process their information and not tell them "You have until July 15th to file this year." Yes, the government extended the deadline, but I submitted my documents back in April because I wanted to prepare for any amount owed or any refund due to us, not wait until the last second to file. If you're on a time crunch, I suggest you look elsewhere for CPA services. Even though she took over a month to prepare our returns, she emailed after only a few days of posting our completed returns on the portal requesting we pay her immediately. (I had my baby and had been in the hospital, so that's why it took me a few days to get back to her.) Now, in August, we still have not received our refund. Jeanne did not put our current address on our returns, per my email to her. Yes, I saw this when reviewing, but I didn't think it was a big deal because A) we always elect for an electronic refund and B) we have mail forwarding set up, so anything mailed should make it to us anyway. We've been unsuccessful in reaching anyone from the IRS to clear up this issue, so I reached out to Jeanne to see if there was an additional form we could fill out requesting an electronic refund. Her response was defensive and unprofessional. She basically said we're shit out of luck for her mistakes, to contact the IRS, and that she just assumed we wanted a refund check mailed to us because I did not provide her with our account information this year, even though we've previously given it to her and have received electronic refunds. Again, the professional thing to do would be to reach out and say "Hey, you're entitled to a refund this year, would you like to receive it electronically again? Or would you prefer a check?" I'm an accountant myself and deal with many corporate CPAs at work and am sorely disappointed in Jeanne's lack of attention to detail and accountability. Don't use Jeanne if you are looking for a full-service CPA that will walk you through the process and not make assumptions on your filing requests. We will certainly be taking our business elsewhere. read more

I was relieved to find Jeanne in 2012 after searching for someone to fix several bookkeeping errors and to remedy tax issues for our business. The situation was so bad that she had to redo and recreate a few years' worth of work. She has done our business and personal taxes ever since. I am going to hire her for the bookkeeping and payroll now for our second business, as the bookkeepers I have hired in the past have all made mistakes that needed to be retroactively fixed at tax time. We had used Turbo Tax for years, then one year we had made an error entering stock sales, (Turbo Tax didn't catch the error). We got a bill from the IRS for a large some of money. We had Jeanne review and redo and she was able to reduce the debt to the IRS by over half. Jeanne has done our taxes every year since, approx. 10 years now.
