Colin did an amazing job repairing an antique china cabinet that was improperly dismantled for a…read morecross-country move. The movers removed the feet and bottom wooden piece, without asking, then walked away without putting it back together. Colin came, took the feet and wood, rebuilt the broken feet, removed wood glue from many years past and rebuilt the cabinet. Once the feet were cleaned up and reattached the bottom wood piece, he came back and reattached everything to the china cabinet. It is now more solid than it had been in over fifty years. This piece has been in our family for three generations and I am so thrilled to have it back in its full beauty again. Colin is a thoughtful, meticulous craftsman and I would hire him again in an instant to repair any piece.

He was responsive, prompt, professional and efficient. Whether it was working with my co-op to provide a COI in a timely manner or coordinating with my building super to reserve the elevator, Art was on top of it. He and his team not only did a great job with my apartment, but (again) he was really helpful on the administrative side of things (which can be incredibly annoying with a co-op building). We were startled to see him at my door. How the hell did he get in? In any case, here he was with a cake in his hand. We said we would like certain areas re-painted and showed them specifically what needs to be done. He never called back to arrange for re-paint. Now I am thinking about "reimburse you" part. Looking back, I think he wanted to pay me so that I could remove the negative review. You get worse rating for that unprofessional, unethical behavior. You can't pay me to change my rating.
