It's got 4 "self checkout" stands, for anyone who wants to come in and out fast. The staff is really friendly and helpful, and I've never had any issues with them. Last week I bought more groceries then I originally thought I would be getting. I had my arms full and one of their young male employees came up to me and asked if he could help me to my car. I rarely ask for help, but he saw I was struggling and took it upon himself to help. He wasn't a cashier, bagger or anything, he worked in the produce area. So he didn't have to help me out at all, but he did. Huge props to that man! I haven't noticed their prices are any different than in any other grocery stores. I've never had any problems with their food, and love the premade items! They're perfect for quickly grabbing a healthy lunch/dinner meal. I know one of my friends appreciates the large gluten-free selection. So before she comes over for a visit, I always go to Sobeys to grab some things she can eat.

We find products here that are usually hard to find somewhere else. The staff have been very friendly and helpful and when you have a question, they won't leave you till you find what you needed even if you ask them store manager. I love their butchery department and bakery the best. They always have fresh and high quality products that you can smell it from the opposite side of the store. Overall I have been always enjoying my shopping experience there and I highly recommend them! :)

But with the cost of groceries climbing incrementally, all grocery stores are becoming unaffordable, I fear.

The prices here are pretty cheap, and the store is a little worse for wear looking. They do have a good selection of Dutch food here. Word of warning be really careful when buying products. A lot of the goods on the shelf are well past their due date. Sometimes by a month, other times by about a year. Unless there's something you know you can only find at Valmart I'd probably head to one of the other grocery stores in town.

I wasn't sure what to expect cuz google reviews referred to it as a desi store, and their store opening neighbourhood mail out noted it was a south Asian grocer. I was pleasantly surprised that there's a ton of variety here catering to all sorts of Asian groceries as well as western groceries. The building is brightly lit and the produce is plentiful, fresh, lots of different kinds (including Asian veggies) and affordable (I saw no bruising or wilting on the fruits and veggies either). I'd say a large majority of the store caters to East Indians which suits the demographic here, but there was also lots of foods that specifically target Filipino, Korean, Chinese, etc. that would usually be found by going to multiple specialty shops...I'm glad it's like a one stop shop! There were a lot of discounted goods too and some even have stickers with additional savings at checkout; $5 fully decorated fudge cake?... Um yes please!! Honestly, I walked in for fruit and came out an hour later like a bandit! There's even some interesting flavours like fruit HP sauce, or masala smoked chicken deli meat. I am also impressed they sell a good variety of meat skewers and halal meat. They also sell reusable grocery bags if you forget your own, or you can ask for a box which is free.
