AAA has a great app, and tells you when the tow truck will arrive. She has received multiple updates that the AAA truck will be there that AAA will be there 5 minutes ago, 10 minutes ago... and this has been going on for 2 hours. ITs not raining. Its not snowing. its just a day. AAA has no idea when someone will be there. Has no idea where they are. They can say that he will be there hours ago. Which doesn't help. I get busy. I get delays. I get the unexpected. What I don't get is "Your driver will be there in 10 minutes"... and 2 hours later, and many "will will be there in a few minutes" later... this is EPIC suck. I called a tow truck company that was near her broken down car. They arrived in 10 minutes. I paid out of pocket because AAA never showed up.

Some of her help was related to our insurance and the complexities we've experienced in our lives (illness, job loss and other stressful events). She provides a voice of comfort and an attitude of "Let's do this together - I'm here to help". When my mom was diagnosed with dementia and we were going through the process of issues related to her license, her automobile and all the struggles related to it, Krystal stepped up and advocated for us within an often complex insurance system and assisted us with resources to address some of our concerns. His assistant expedited my request quickly and assured me that my policies were now cancelled. Shortly after, I received a call from him, declined it and listened to his voicemail later... it said, "Hey this is Dan Demory, just wanted to see what's going on. Give me a call back." Seeing as our business relationship was now terminated, I didn't feel the need to put myself through his pathetic sales speech. Fast forward 5 months later, I'm reviewing my bank statement and there's a charge from State Farm. I thought, surely, this must be a mistake and Danny Boy will refund the charges. While speaking to his assistant, they confirm that I did place a cancellation request on 6/13/2018. The assistant says he is unable to refund the premiums and puts Lil Danny on the line. He proceeds to explain to me that life insurance policies must be cancelled "in office." Fair enough, but why wasn't I informed of this sooner? His explanation? "I should've called him back." Lil Danny sounded like a pubescent high schooler that had his pride hurt. I asked why he did not bother to inform his assistant of this, inform me of this in his voicemail or make any further attempts to make me aware that my policies were not cancelled. Same response. It was not until later that I learned my renter's policy was still in effect. The renter's policy CAN be cancelled by phone, yet was not done so. This concludes me to believe that Lil Danny specifically instructed his assistant to not cancel my policies... directly opposing my wishes and defrauding me of 5 months worth of premiums. In the end, after complaints to State Farm and consumer protection agencies, my refund was granted. All it took was several hours of work and 3 months. Moral of the story is, if you have a policy with Lil Danny Demory, you better call him back immediately, whenever he calls. Or face the consequences of his fragile ego.

Well, my in-laws always know the best people including accountants, attorneys, tax preparers, physicians, etc... Three years ago they referred us to Rusty's Tax Service after we had a terrible experience with a different service. Mary Thompson prepares our taxes each year and although she sees us once a year, she remembers our names, faces, and details from previous conversations! It's kind of amazing!! She prepares our taxes efficiently and each year we are in and out within 20 minutes. The service is exceptional. From a competency prospective, I could not be more pleased. During our first interaction, she helped us revise our taxes and reduced our amount owed by more than $1,000. Our questions are always answered and advice is always available. Back to the service, the staff are pleasant and approachable. The family business feel is warm and everyone seems genuinely happy to be there even late into the tax season. We won't go anywhere else.
