They also scheduled an appointment to cut down my neighbors tree so when they were there I told them to go ahead on mine. One of the main trunks was over an electrical line. Great Estates left a tag on my door as they were clearing storm-downed trees just up the road. Although I didn't have storm damage next to the house, a few blew down in the woods. I did have a dying spruce right next to the garage and a couple of basswoods that were growing over my roof that I decided to remove before they came down on my house in a storm. I set an appointment with Craig who was able to stop by in within 2 weeks, assessed the work, provided a written estimate to remove trees (no stump grinding) to which I agreed. He called the next week and we scheduled a day and time for the work. Craig does the estimates, Jeremy is the arborist and the guy in the bucket truck, Jordan is learning the biz and the guy on the chain saws, chipper and blower. Team arrived on time with bucket truck, (massive) chipper, blower & all equipment. They were respectful of my property, clean-up was great (no twigs or chips anywhere) and the problem trees were gone in a matter of hours. I suspect Great Estates is not the cheapest tree removal company around, however, you get what you pay for in this case. I've had other tree removal services who left trash for me to pick-up; missed appointments or just got too busy to do my job after the quote. Great Estates works a large area. Here we go, we live in the Bemidji area in Northern Minnesota that just got hit by what was said to…read morebe strait line winds that equalled to a Category 3 hurricane of more than 100 miles an hour. So much destruction, so many lives touched. Along with it came a wide area of power outage's, along with water outages from water wells. We were part of a few that can feel blessed we only lost trees along with a small portion of wind/hail damage on our roof along with the loss of electricity and water. Our yard was a shambles 80 plus trees gone, after tree cuttings and removals along with all the wind blown in debris. This company my husband found as a listing on facebook stating that if anyone needed help with yard cleanup they would be happy to come and help and need only to pay what you could if not that was ok too, they were just here to help. I really think God sent these people from the heavens above. They showed the day after we contacted them with their bobcat and went straight to work after asking what we needed. I must say when they got done just 3 short hours later our yard was totally transformed, EVERYTHING was cleaned up and raked and even some leveling was done from the uprooted trees and the previous bobcat's ruts. These sweet Samaritans also asked for a water hose to water my poor lilac they pulled back up and staked that had gotten run over during the previous attempts at cleanup. I whole heartedly recommend this company for any work that needs to be done, they will get it done quickly and neatly and not gouge you like some are doing ( taking advantage to make a quick buck off others loss) Thank you, thank you and God Bless for your hard work during this time of total devastation. First, very professional and very personable. Showed up when they said they would (7:30 AM). Didn't waste any time. The pile was located in an area that had limited access. Using wheelbarrows, GJ Landworks began loading the pile into a trailer. After loading all of it, they made sure the area was cleaned up thoroughly. Then they made sure the street area by the trailer was swept up. They tarped the load so nothing would fall out. All done by 9:30 AM. Quality work and very reasonably priced.
