I'm a medical student that travels the country doing rotations in different hospitals. Some days the staff were nice and other days, they didn't want to be bothered. The majority of the tables are not close enough to electrical outlets to plug in your laptop. For the first couple of days, the staff allowed me to check out a power strip. Today for some reason the librarian (Sherry) had a chip on her shoulder and would not let me check out a power strip nor would she allow me to move the table a couple of feet so i could plug in my laptop. I had to leave and find an other library.

We visited this library branch after dropping off a realtor friend at a house she is selling. We…read moredidn't know if we'd be waiting one or more hours so this seemed an ideal place to wait - and it was. The librarian was welcoming as we entered. She told me she's been here awhile - not as long as the library which opened in 2000 or 2001. They will be moving to a larger location in the near future! It's not a big library, but it's cozy, and has lots to see & do. There's comfortable chairs by the front door, to read or recharge electronics - cords provided! Around the corner are books, DVDs and yarn for sale - reasonably priced. I purchased 2 children's books for a dollar for our soon to be one year old nephew. Computer stations are available if you need a computer. Books in Spanish and a large children's section are impressive. By the circulation desk are signs with information on a scavenger hunt for kids and various local activities. They even had free fresh grown tomatoes on the day we visited (7/12/24!). We don't live in the area, but if we did, we'd call this library branch home!

Had several hours to pass along, so I thought coming to the Dandridge Memorial Library would be the perfect to pass the time. The staff was so friendly and found common ground in hobbies and likes during conversation. They have computer stations, but since I brought my laptop to do some work, I was allowed to work there using their WIFI. The library has a great view of Douglas Lake from their windows. I also learned they have themed events (example, a Star Wars Day) for their young readers throughout the year, but the adults also like to get in the fun. If ever I was back in town, I will be so happy to return to this library!

It's a very good liberal arts school where you can get good personal attention with the small classes that are available. Yeah, I know....how enthralling can a place of education be on such a usually ponderous time? This university is a Baptist school, and so much warmer than I recall my four years at the Baptist College at Charleston (now Charleston Southern University) in the late 1960s. The level of staff and the outreach of students and professors at Carson-Newman during, before and after the two graduations (having to be split into two due to heavy rain being predicted, and thus moved inside instead of in their football stadium) impressed me and warmed me. How many universities have a university hymn sung at graduation and have Psalm 100 read during graduation. It just warmed my heart on this recent Friday (their graduations are always on Fridays).

Room was musty, and the floor was grimy. I woke up feeling gross after 1 night. As for the resident hall bathroom: I have literally stayed in 3rd world country mission houses with cleaner showers. There is mildew and mold caked on every shower head and wall. Absolutely disgusting. Would not recommend without disposable shower shoes. Cafeteria food is ok, but I opted for fast food at most meals over the mystery meatloaf. Facilities outside of the sports and activities centers look a little worse for wear. Probably haven't been updated in 20 years or so. Not to mention there wasn't working AC on in the main building where sessions were being held. All this to say, I'm not sure I'd like to stay here again, and I honestly couldn't imagine living in these conditions as a student on campus.

Well I went into the office to pay taxes on a 25 year old boat I purchased. I brought all the…read morepaperwork given to me after completing payment. The cost was about $500. The clerk employee asked me if my address was correct as listed. I said no that's a mistake. I gave her the correct address for the seller. She never asked for mine although I have my ID out. I assume she got it off-line. When I got done and got home I realized that she put the same address both for the seller and the buyer. I called immediately and informed her she said she would not be back later that week. But Justice top in and they would correct it. The next person I got at the clerks office seemed to be upset at me for causing her to figure it out. She ended up going to her supervisor and asking a bunch of questions as she did not know how to proceed. Anyway, long story short I felt like for the money, I'm spending on the taxes on the boat. I should've gotten better service. And of course they would probably advise me that the the paper work was flawed it's my fault. But, I'm the buyer. I did not prepare the Paperwork.

The staff are all very friendly and professional and are willing to go the extra mile to explain what the costs and fees are for. All of our transactions were completed in a matter of minutes.
