The work Dr. Homan does do is amazing. He's quick and proficient in his dental work. I enjoy seeing Dr. Homan. The reason I give a 3 star rating instead of a 5? I have an extreme phobia of the dentist stemming from being mistreated as a young child by The Dental Associates in Fond Du Lac. I'm extremely uneasy about being in a dentist office and I'm always greated with rolling of eyes by the receptionist, as well as the female associate that helps Dr. Homan. Let me tell you when you have a phobia of something and feel like you're ready to have an anxiety attack just from being there. Nothing will make you feel more at home than being treated as if you're not wanted by the people that work there! I was a 21 year old junior in college and the receptionist actually called my mother to confirm an appointment. Talk about an absolute show of disrespect. While I enjoy seeing Dr. Homan and wouldn't have anyone else fix my mouth. I could do without seeing the others in the office and their exasperated sighs, rolling of eyes, and judgemental tone of voice. I know I haven't been the best patient but there's a reason I'm here.

The dentist only does what you ask him to and nothing more. Which is great so your not getting any charges tacked on. They offer you a free chap stick, flower, all kinds of goodies for the kids. I had to have a tooth removed, so they took me into a separate room where they spelled out exactly how much it was going to cost me with my insurance. And day of, it was less than expected because the tooth came out easily. Best dentist I've ever been to hands down. Highly recommended!!!!

I recently had an appointment at Beaver Dam Dental. As soon as I checked in, they asked if I had…read moreinsurance in front of the other patients who were in the room waiting. I said no and it was noted in my chart. Unfortunately, my old hygienist had left the business for a better position. I was called back to an exam room by a young hygienist whose name is Brittany. I informed her I was due for x-rays. She proceeded to tell me that since I didn't have insurance, we should wait another year. I tried to tell her to do them anyway and got nowhere. I finally told her to just clean my teeth. During the entire exam she spoke not one word to me. After the exam she said I didn't need to see the dentist and that I would get charged. I explained how dental health and heart health are related. I informed her I hadn't seen him the last time. She made a big sigh and pressed the bell for him to come. During the entire time while we waited, she didn't say one word to me. I find it amazing that a young hygienist should feel she can make financial decisions for me. It was a very frustrating experience, and she was very impersonable. I am going to request another hygienist next time and if things don't improve find another dental office.

Not only was I treated extremely well and compassionately in all areas of care, the level of skill and dentistry involved was really A++. Their approach is truly client centered. Their office is run with a real team level of cooperation and integration, from the receptionist at the door to the assistants and doctors. The procedure I went through with them (dentures) was life changing and difficult for me. But they adeptly guided me in my choices and worked hard to assist me through this difficult transition. Today I enjoy smiling again, I wear a full set of dentures comfortably; and I consider myself lucky to have found them, and therefore able to write such a good review. It was a fantastic experience from the moment I walked it. Everyone was extremely professional. One of the main reasons I hate the dentist is the judgement for not taking care of your teeth. This is a completely judgement free dentist. They do give it to you straight Tell you how to correct it, but don't make you feel bad for it. They were quick and courteous the entire time.
