Dr. Coykendall is the best surgeon I've known for his specialty, and I was an EFR, and worked with doctors for a few years. I waited a year, did not want surgery, my first, thought it would be OK, wore the internet sold brace, but had an Inguinal hernia, and it only gets worse. After the protrusions could not be pushed back in, and my bowel movements were affected went to Dr. C. ALL he does is Hernias, not the "jack of all surgeries" other doctors, and I wanted someone who ONLY did hernias, not gastric bypasses, and weight loss stuff, or all other surgeries as well, ask every Dr. "how many of these do you do?", first always. We scheduled, the surgery although frightening to a newbie like me went extremely well, no opioids after the first day, healing went fine, excellent fast recovery, and due to Dr. C. recommendations the use of the best mesh, not what you'll get in the ER where you will eventually end up, with Dr. Krappytolitz from Pakistan, or India, or just unlucky and happened to be on duty when you called 911, went into ER doing the surgery. Also, if you wait, your intestines can tangle, cause blockage, and other bad stuff, and you could die, or have other serious issues affecting you for your life. Anyway, if you have a hernia, go and get an appraisal from Dr. C. schedule at your convenience, take control, don't wait until the hernia controls your actions.

I arrived 20 minutes before my scheduled time to fill out forms. But Krissy claimed it was because I took 5 minutes past my appointment to hand in the forms, and they had to type them into the system that I was so delayed. Even after I was shown into the exam room, I waited another 10 minutes before I blew my top and left. I was returned my co-pay. First Krissy told me that Dr. Greer was quick and I would get out on time.But later I was told one reason for the delay was that he is so thorough that he takes special attention to each patient.If that's the case, and I hope it is, they should schedule accordingly. I have a job to get to, and I cannot afford to wait an hour before seeing the doctor. PS their website is down so patient forms cannot be completed before the appointment.

A few minutes later, I get an email confirmation for my appointment, however, it was with his NURSE PRACTITIONER! I replied that I wanted to see the DOCTOR, as I left my former Rheumatologist because he had moved to Costa Rica and left his NURSE PRACTITIONER to handle his patients. Following my reply, I recieved a phone call from Dr. Barron's office. The woman explained that I could NOT see the doctor because he does NOT see patients in the Delray office! When I requested the appointment, I explained about my previous doctor and his move to Costa Rica. How is it possible that this woman was sending me to another nurse and NOT the doctor? I wonder if the insurance companies know that they are paying nurses for doing the doctor's jobs...I wonder if they even care! Dr Barron himself is extremely adept at accessing everything thats going on with me and is very good at diagnosing and proscribing treatment. He take copious amounts of notes and really is good at tracking progress. His staff are all completely professional and his PA is one of the nicest people you will ever want to meet. After trouble getting my Rx assistance, she went above and beyond to advocate for me. I cant put into words how much that means when you are looking for treatment for a debilitating disease.
