He was amazing. He listened, he spent soooo much time, he was kind, and he didn't frighten me even though my condition turned out to be something requiring immediate attention and that had the potential to escalate to an emergency. Instead of sending me to the ER, he was able to get me a same day appointment with a specialist he trusted. The specialist was equally amazing. And when I started to tell him why I'd shown up at his office, he said "oh thanks--Dr. Biorkman already told me everything." Although I've only seen him once, I would say Dr. Biorkman might be the best family medicine physician I've ever come across, for his experience, bedside manner, and way of making sure I got to a specialist he trusted in a timely manner. Although he's had to give me news that I didn't want to hear at times, he's also helped me turn the negative things around. He has an uncanny way of getting me to do things that other doctors couldn't. He's encouraging, caring and empathetic. He understands that ultimately it's the patient's decision to decide what works for them. His response time is unheard of. I sent him a request for a referral this afternoon and a couple of hours later, he had not only processed the request, but I received the approval. His communication skills are outstanding! He is so down to earth, friendly and easy to talk to. He's patient and takes the time to explain what I don't understand and answer all my questions. My conclusion is that Dr. Kenan it's not only disingenuous, unprofessional but appears to derive pleasure From jerking around potential patients and then blowing them off. I found this doctors modus operandi to be confusing and dismissive. He wasted my time and strung me along. Dr Kamen it's not a psychiatrist I would recommend to anyone. In fact, I think he was quite dishonest and cajoled me into sending him my personal info. Potential patients should beware of this unethical doctor. it was interesting because a month or so earlier, he did the exact same thing to a friend I recommended reach out to him. His standard line is "I can help you with this medication". Then when you are ready to book appointment, he is stricken with amnesia and pretends he can't find you in his system even though he has exchanged 3 to 4 text messages with you.
