I'm happy to report that I liked what I found, and I was not disappointed when I went to see him the first time earlier this week at MemorialCare on Bellflower Blvd. and Stearns Street in Long Beach. I was impressed at how clean and modern the facility was. Parking was a breeze, even for the non-handicapped spaces. Since I had already completed the necessary intake forms ahead of time online when I checked in, I just had to fill out and sign a couple of short hard-copy documents. After getting all my vitals by his assistant Araceli, I waited in the exam room for the doctor to arrive. He stopped in a few minutes later. Dr. Simmons and I had a very pleasant visit. I appreciated that he took the time to really listen to my concerns, after which he offered his insights and advice. I needed a referral to a specialist, and he took care of it on his computer as we were discussing it, which I really appreciated. He also sent my prescription refills to my pharmacy, and to my amazement, they were all ready to be picked up just a few hours later. My mother visited Dr. Simmons for the first time last month, and she gave me a heads-up that she loved him and that I would as well, and she was right. I like the fact that I could get my test results and communicate with the doctor through the MyChart app and website. Overall, my experience with Dr. Simmons and the MemorialCare health system were top-notch, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a primary care physician.

I went here for my "free" annual exam on 10/9/25. I saw the doctor, and he was fine, actually. My…read moregripe here was the bloodwork. They schedule me to get my standard panel which should be free under my insurance coverage; however, I wanted to make certain that they don't try to weasel their way into somehow charging me for bloodwork due to any sort of loophole whatsoever, as they usually do. They always have a way of doing that where I receive a bill from the lab because somehow, and conveniently, the wrong code was used or whatever excuse they provide. To my dismay, it's literally impossible to ensure that I will not get charged for bloodwork. They literally made it impossible for me to get my "free" bloodwork. I spoke to Christina, the office manager, and she was so inept and so rude, she ended up hanging up on me. Imagine that? I call to ensure I get my unequivocally free annual exam, and the office manager can't be disturbed with such an outrageous request that she hangs up on me. I then call back, and she hangs up on me again. I call back, and no one answers. I then managed to get a hold of Claudia, and she is very nice and tries to help me. She says she'll look into it and will give me a call back. Unfortunately, Christina likely bullies her, and no one calls me back. That's was it. That was my experience. They take my money as part of the insurance payout, and they didn't even provide my annual bloodwork. I'm so done with these medical industrial complex gangsters and their collusion and stranglehold on the system. It's always and only about money and not the patient. I don't know why I even bother going to these creeps. They're so gross. I finally just gave up on getting an annual exam or bloodwork. Hopefully I don't have any underlying diseases or issues because I'll never know since these guys didn't even do their job.

Concierge medicine has saved my husband's life…read more.. We have been seeing Dr Jordanides for about 2 1/2 years. My husband was very ill and coming from a nursing home that almost killed him. It was during this time we interviewed his PA (gosh we miss her so much) and his office manager, Brandon. The minute the nursing home doc came in and basically refused to give the correct medicine for his MRSA infection, Dr J's PA jumped up and corrected the nursing home doc. When the nursing home doc asked who she was; I said, our doctor! So that's how Dr J and his staff was hired. Dr J has answered my calls in the middle of the night when my hubby has been sick. He makes same day appointments. The appointments are an hour long. When caregiving for a spouse it can be difficult to care for yourself. I was so impressed with the care my husband received that I hired Dr J and his staff to help facilitate my health care.
