This is a striking old building which has been renovated and, these days, is a gallery and gift…read moreshop. Originally, it was listed as a 'a lock up house with a room over it in which a magistrates court and parochial meetings were held'. In 1858 it was falling into very bad repair so the court and magistrates relocated to a new building. The Town Hall then became a 'Mechanics Institute' which included a library. In 1881 a clock tower was built and in 1912 another floor was added. Easy to find as it's up a very unusual double stairway (unfortunately I didn't capture that in my photo) and can be seen from many parts of the town.

The queens hall in narberth is great! A real community hall where all sorts of events take place…read more It has a brilliant stage, and many music events are held. There are a quite a few local bands which are very popular, and this is the place to come and watch them. Christmas time is tgood as special acoustic night etc are organised. Battles of the bands and such like. There is also occasionally big name bands playing here, pendulum played recently! The prices are great, and always very reasonalbe. There is a good bar, and lots of seating around the edge and at the back of the main floor area. They ahve a very good policy and underaged people have a wrist band on, so they dont get served alcohol. There is also a cafe that is open during the day. And an art gallery upstairs, which showcases local artisst exhibitions aswel as visiting artists. All in all this is a fantic community hall type place, and there should be more of them!

What a place. This has to be the best garden centre ever! It…read morehas absolutly everything, beautiful grounds and display gardens, and the opertunity to take you time plodding along taking in all the beauitful plants and flowers. There is so much choice its great. All types of plants etc are clearly located and easily found. It is a family run buisness and has been going for years.. and gets bigger and better everytime i go. The owners mr and mrs webb live onsite next to the centre, and are the most friendly people you will ever meet.. they are always found walking around chatting to the customers, or with people coming and going from the house. Mr webb still works around the gardens although most of the running of the place is taken on by his son.. and also a few other fantastic members of staff, who are all brilliant, and make you feel so welcome. You can tell mr webb is around as he is always whistling. There is a parot called perkins who has been there as long as i can remember, who can whistle just like mr webb. The parrot also wolf whistles, and says a few words. there used to be a few donkeys and sheep that would often be seen popping their heads over the gate saying hello.. but as time has passed on so sadly have they. Mrs webb used to run the cafe which years ago was the tea room,.. no more than a little wooden shed.. that kept getting extentions! but as it got busyer and busyer and much larger the running of the place has been taken over by another local buisness, the nant-y-ffyn hotel, this at first was a little strange no more of mrs webbs fantastic steak pies, but it is still fantastic, and their sunday lunches are the best around. It's a perfect place to relax on summers day.. meet the locals, catch up, have a cuppa and a meal and buy all you need for your garden, from statues, furniure, orniments, sheds, plants tools and soils. Its really does have it all! The webbs are always sooo friendly and very very knowlegable they know everything you''ll ever need to know about the garden! The views from the centre are also incredible looking over to the preselli mountains. perfect, I totally recomend it!!!

Has knowledgable staff and all the goodies you need for your garden!Mr and Mrs Webb are always around and you can't beat having a good ol' chin wag with them. I can't talk about this place without mentioning the tea rooms either! The food, the place, the staff! I've always found them to be very friendly and will always make you feel at home. No request is too much for them either! Main meals during the week are delish and the puddings on a sunday- heaven! Be prepared to give up your diet when you come here!
