Ok went to the jembro stores in flushing and you know the deal about this type of store , you get what you pay for and you won't pay much but will be happy . Big store with endless displays of everything from clothing, footwear, home goods , cleaning supplies, electronics, furniture, wall pictures, and on and on with so much stuff and the prices are amazing with quality not being grade A but who cares. Not expecting to get anything as my cuz is here to grab a few things but after browsing around a bit , I grabbed a cart and got a bunch of items for about 90 bucks and everything will come in handy .Give jembro a try , you will find a few or more useful items you actually can use and need .4.5 stars on my yelp meter. read more

Sometimes people use Jembro to walk through to the other side from Roosevelt Ave to the large parking lot in Flushing next to Queens Crossing. Jembro is like a 99cent store combined with a Jacks Dollar and Up store. It has household items, holiday decor items, clothing, and accessories for a few dollars. I've never bought anything here but it's better to shop local than to get the same things at Walmart for a little more. read more

Hey Everyone, it's great to see all my friends again today. Welcome everyone to Flushing's Discount Giant. If you Don't know.. it's called JEMBRO. Jembro is a wonderful neighborhood discount store. Jembro is located right on Roosevelt avenue in Flushing, between Main Street and Union. This is one of the busiest areas of Downtown Flushing. For easy commuting, This Jembro store is located right outside the Q44 bus stop, & # 7 Subways. Jembo reminds me of the neighborhood IGA that I used to bicycle down as a child. I would pick up Grandma some coffee or whatever else she needed. I get the same feeling walking down to the JEMBRO from my Flushing apartment. It's just a few minutes walk to Downtown Flushing, but the entire neighborhood changes in a few minutes. I'll go from strolling solitary down a Shady sycamore sidewalk.. to hustling and sidestepping in Busy Metro Downtown Flushing, that's packed with buses, Taxis and folks crowding the sidewalk 8 across. Just a few steps and a few minutes and I'm there. The JEMBRO Discount store is super convenient for me and most Flushing residents. There's no private parking lot on site or street parking available outside, but on 39th Street at the rear entrance of the store there's a large Municipal lot. I'm usually a DAILY regular Shopper at JEMBRO, they're always getting some different items in and the prices are nothing you could complain about. I also shop at the BIG Macy's department store right across the street (Roosevelt Avenue).. but the difference in pricing is ridiculous, and it's stupid to waste extra money on everyday items like socks or undergarments. I can buy socks underwear or a belt at Macy's and spend $15 to $50 apiece. .. Or just hop across the street to the JEMBRO. That same $22 underwear that's slightly imperfect..(Hey! which side is the opening supposed to be on??).. The slightly imperfect underwear is only $5.99 at JEMBRO and the $50 belt is just 5 Buck's..(Yes, it's cardboard).. Socks instead of being $10 are just $2. You can't really go wrong with slightly imperfect socks. They also have inexpensive furniture here for the home and for the office. We're currently purchasing new items and redesigning our recently rebuilt apartment. We were able to find a nice floor lamp here for just $39 instead of $99 which was the pricing at another store. I also have to talk about Jembro's Excellent customer service, it is so important where I shop that I'm treated properly. Working my 100 work week, my money Cannot be wasted and my patronage must be appreciated. The JEMBRO shopping experience is TRULY 4 stars !! Everything is here for your personal & home needs. Jembro's got Really polite, helpful management and sales staff. The Roosevelt Avenue store Provides the Flushing Community with an ever-changing selection of Home Goods and apparel. A great selection of all you need. You'd be stupid to pay more money and get the snooty treatment elsewhere. In summation I love the shopping experience here at Flushing's JEMBRO. The Manager, Simon is friendly, smiling, and so helpful. He seems to always be right there to help with exactly what we need when we need him. The folks here at JEMBRO are also quite kind to us, many times they will sell me their pre-assembled furniture and save me the headache of having to put it together. That's great because I'm good at many things ..but suck at putting furniture together. Well that's about it folks. Flushing JEMBRO'S statement in a nutshell..is...YOU want to save some Dough.? Love shopping at this store. They have another store located in Jamaica and in CT. Easy access via the MTA subway. Take the 7 line to main street station which is the last stop and go upstairs. The store is located on Roosevelt Avenue and it is right across the street from Macy's. This is not a department store like Macy's and more of a discount store. Clothing items are no way incomparison to that of a department store. Best items to buy are undergarments, PJ's, shower curtains, tee-shirts, household items, blankets, socks, etc... Noticed area for luggage which cost less than the department stores. If you are looking for bargains. This is the place to shop. As for dishwashing liquid and cleaning agents they are within the same price range as the supermarkets. read more

I have shopped here, Flushing Jembro for years and this is the first I was treated very rude by the young female cashier. Here are my experiences: I bought clothes with alarm on, so I was reminding/asking if she took it off. She said impatiently "I know!" I also bought a bottle of water, because she did not put bottle water in the bag. I was kindly again asking her if she scanned it because I don't want walk out of the store with unpaid stuff. Then this girl raised her voice and started calling me " you are too bossy", and so on. I was so disappointed that the service is going downhill because of this rude cashier. Although I like your products, I wouldn't shop here again. No customer would like to be yelled by the rude cashier and given disgusting judgmental comments. Why I pay for this? I purchased 4 dining room chairs, not the best but not the worst. They assembled the chairs and delivered them to my home at which point they asked for $60.00 cash for the service. About 10 days later, when I sat on one of the chairs I went crashing to the floor. One of the legs had just shattered. When I went to back the store, with the shattered chair leg, to ask for either my money back or a replacement I was very rudely told NO, we don't accept broken merchandise. What store does not refund or replace? I have never come across anything like this is my life. Lately, this store has been hitting the down and dirty discount jackpot. Yea, so okay, some of its customer base consists of weirdos and ghetto trash. Well, what do you expect? it's a discount store, not Nornstrom's. And if you could afford Nornstorm, then why are you shopping at Jembro? Sometimes there's a cashier who's a ditz, and I've overheard the manager be a dick. Again, if you want the upscale shopping experience, then why are you on Main Street? This is coming from someone who's constantly complained about rudeness from other businesses. My zip code states that I live in the city full of attitudes, so you know. Plus I've got an attitude too. Touche'. Although the attitude I received in the Flushing Macy's...that one just stank. (See my Macy's review) Attitudes aside, I've found the oddest things here. What !!! I am the first to write about Jembro, what a privey! Great place for comforters, drapes and bed sheets however a bad place for hygene! My bad, I'd be lying if I didn't say that I don't always smell so fresh. Anyways, I used to love going there to see what rediculous toys they have, they always have some talking doll for a b list celebrity and at one time they had white kit-kats for Christmas. But the owner refuses to help his workers out and one day the line was 40 people long and some lady was literally pulling money out of her breast and complaining at the same time and the manager just gave everyone the FU look without helping out. I'm not sure what 'attacks' others are talking about. There are some ghetto customers inside but usually they don't bother you. I live 3 miles away from downtown flushing and I always go to this store to get my track pants, lounge wear, and few other household stuff. It is always a bang for the buck. There is a macy's right across the road from this Jembro and still this store is always full with customers. Very cheap stuff but ofcourse the quality is of the same level too. I can use the sweat pants only for about 6 months and then it wears off(i prefer new ones every 6 months! ). read more

It always amazes me how long this store has been open. I used to come here as a kid for cheap miscellaneous items and they still sell all of that. It's like a cheaper version of Target with lesser quality goods. The selection isn't the greatest and the lines can get long, but it's cheap. What more can you ask for? read more

Jembro is kind of like a better version of a 99 cent store. You can find clothing, furniture, some other household items and cheap shoes here. Once or twice I've seen some designer items in here greatly discounted. Most of the stuff is just what you'd expect to find in the discount clothing store, it's not always the best quality, but the prices are reasonable so you can't really complain. read more

I used my debit card to purchase something and they told me I need ID even I swipe for $10 and with the password required. I showed them my ID on cell phone because I didn't have it with me and they said it was fake. I was angry if they say so, they could be fake too even with ID. Pretty mad experience and didn't buy anything. Maybe they have good business so they don't care about small business. Be careful. read more

The boss in this store REFUSED to allow me to tighten the strings on the violin to make sure it worked! There is no refund on the instruments and the boss was very rude! He was concerend that the instrument would break if he tightened it....I just wanted to make sure it made a sound! What a gimmick!!!! read more
