It so…read moresad that every time we go to Merrick, we debate on whether or not to walk in the store because of how obnoxious the sales people are. Now I will say they are extremely nice and knowledgeable... But it's just too much. It makes us not want to even walk in the store. We really have to discuss it ahead of time because we can't shop without an employee hovering and listening to us converse amongst ourselves and literally making a comment on every single thing that we either say or touch. I understand the sales people make commission. They make that blatantly obvious. But it just reeks of desperation. They really need to just let people shop and leave them alone. It is such a small store and they don't even let you breathe. I would honestly rather just buy it online than have to deal with the customer experience in the store. Again, the employees are very nice, but just too pushy. I wish they would just stand back and let us shop uninterrupted. I am still trying to find a nice way to tell them to please not talk to us and let us look around. And that if we have any questions we will ask.

They are also quick to let you know the sizing as in true to size vs running big and/or small. While I was in there a woman was looking for something for her daughter who happened to be out of the country. The sales lady got on the phone with the daughter and was willing to put dresses on hold for her even though she wouldn't even be in town for a couple of days. Now that's service. Best part might be the endearing sales lady who reminded me of the quintessential, classy, socialite grandmother who would hand you her pearls, a broach, or the perfect dress for a garden party.

I love, love, LOVE Habit boutique…read more My friend had told me of her purchases here last summer and I made the mental note to visit the store as soon as possible. Well, time and paychecks came and went, and it wasn't until I had my best friend's bachelorette party in Vegas come up this past summer that I finally made it to this store. Boy, am I sorry I waited so long! This store is GREAT!!!! The owner, Kristy, has a great eye and all items in her store are tastefully picked out by her. You can find everything from day wear, to evening outfits, and even bikinis at Habit. There are also very cute accessories, handbags, and belts at the store in case you made to make it a one stop shop (no shoes though). The prices here are also fantastic! Truth be told, that is why I hadn't come to shop here earlier, because I thought the prices would break my bank account in two, but I was wrong! The prices here are nowhere near what some of the other Gables boutiques are. I bought two outfits for Vegas (1 dress and 1 pantsuit/jumper) for less than $100 total- a steal in my book! Since my first time here the first week in August, I've already been back twice. Each time wear something from Habit everyone asks me where it is from. If you shop here, I guarantee you everyone will be asking you the same ;)
