Our experience with JennyDee Photography was excellent from our initial emails all the way until we received the final photos. Jenny and Geo (her husband and assistant photographer) are very responsive, professional, and committed to providing you all the shots you want. My husband and I hired JennyDee Photography for both our Engagement and Wedding photography and we could not be more pleased. We had multiple calls in the months leading up to the wedding to align on what we wanted, discussed the overall wedding timeline, and provided the list of shots we wanted. Their website also has example timelines for photography, which were very helpful as we planned our day and allowed us to not compress everything too much. Working with Jenny and Geo is also a great experience. They are organized, funny, kind, and encouraging -- they will help pose you as needed, but generally allow for a very genuine capture of the day. They are also very organized and will help keep things moving efficiently without being overbearing -- I could trust that they would get all the shots we needed without feeling like I needed to check in, and both posed and candid shots were phenomenal. Finally, all the photographs we received from JennyDee Photography (in less than a month!) are joy and whimsy personified. They managed to capture the color, vibrancy, and happiness of that day in the photographs -- I couldn't stop smiling the whole time I reviewed the gallery. We had an excellent experience with Jenny Dee Photography. Jenny and George (Jenny's husband and assistant photographer) were communicative and helpful in the months and weeks leading up to our wedding reception. Their template for our "desired and must-get" photos list was very helpful for organizing, and our phone conversations with them were great for figuring out what we wanted and hammering out logistics. On the day of the wedding, we had morning activities and an evening reception. Jenny and George were on time and enthusiastic for everything. I was so glad when I met one of the best photographers in the Bay Area! We immediately felt like friends after the first meeting. They were very professional and personable. Jenny and Geo both explained and guided us through the process of wedding photography. They also covered every aspect of wedding photography and made it easy for us during the whole planning process. Jenny and her husband (her second photographer) were super easy to work with, prompt and helpful. We were married in November of 2019. We met with them in person two times before the big day. They helpfully gave us list of proposed "must have" shots - we selected the ones we wanted and they were able to capture all of our "must have" photos. As experienced by many engaged couples who planned to get married in 2020, COVID-19 ripped our plans apart. We were left scrambling to find a new photographer a few weeks before our wedding date in October 2020. Even though I thought it was a low chance that Jenny would be available, I still sent an inquiry and I am so glad I did. Jenny and her husband, Geo, pulled through and helped to capture our intimate ceremony in such an amazing way. After the initial inquiry, we had an introductory call followed by timely e-mail communications. A few days before the big day, we had a video conference to prepare and go over the logistics. Jenny and Geo answered our questions and worked with us to ensure the timing for everything was appropriate and that the photos we had in mind would be captured. Jenny provided a sneak peek of the photos about a week after the ceremony and they were gorgeous. We received numerous compliments from our family and friends. Jenny D was fantastic! We were so lucky that she was available for our June wedding. My wife and I met Jenny and her assistant / husband to get to know each other, describe our hopes and must-haves, and get some advice from them. They gave us some worksheets to work out the photoshoot timing and plan out who would be in all the photos. During a call a week before the wedding they easily agreed to also be part of our ceremony by taking our polaroid camera to capture mid-ceremony group shots that we then locked into a time capsule. They were a calm energy on the big day and were friendly and efficient; perfect for herding wedding guests on a stressful day! Jenny and her husband/assistant George did a fantastic job with both our engagement and wedding photos last year. They were really flexible (for example, our engagement photo session was rained out, but rescheduling was easy) and helpful about making suggestions for the photos and about more general wedding logistics. My husband and I are both pretty introverted, and so we weren't sure what it would be like to work with a professional photographer. Jenny was great at making us feel comfortable about getting our pictures taken for an hour or more at a time. They were also kind enough to come up to Sacramento for our wedding (we did our engagement photos in the Bay Area), and we Skyped with them before each session to get to know each other and make plans. We wanted photos that showed our personalities and didn't look like they'd been processed through a million Instagram filters. The finished files from Jenny are beautiful photos, and you get allllll of them -- a LOT of them are fantastic, but you also get to laugh at the ones where you're making a goofy Muppet face or look kinda pissed at your mom (whoops, don't know what that was about). We've used Jenny's photos as framed prints, in an album, and on our Christmas cards. She turned the finished files around quickly too -- we got our engagement photos after a few weeks, and the wedding photos after a month, but she also posts teasers on her Facebook and blog ahead of time with some of the best shots. Jenny and her partner photographed our wedding in June 2013. They were fantastic! Very professional and very friendly. When I saw the photographs I cried once or twice. SO many moments they caught! Jenny took the time to find out about us as a couple and walked us through the process to think about what photos we wanted to be sure that we captured. We also had the photo booth. These photos are so amazing and make everyone that sees them smile. I recommend you consider this option for your big day! I really like that Jenny gives you all the photos on a CD and you can do whatever you want with them. (Written by the wife) Jenny and her husband Geo were great to work with for our wedding July 2019. My husband and I are the awkward type. We're more likely to have a silly face than serious ones. We were not one for the "traditional" wedding photos. Not our style. And Jenny and Geo fit perfectly with what we wanted: casual, fun, candid. We wanted to make sure we clicked with our photographers since they would be following us around all day. I had a good feeling about it from perusing Jenny's website and looking at her photography. I told my husband I was 99% sure that Jenny would be our photographer as long as we liked them in person. And sure enough we did! Jenny provided several documents to help us with the day-of photoshoot and reviewed those with us before hand. That definitely helped out with my over-planner self. Jenny answered my many questions before the wedding. And for the actual day itself, she did a great job. They got all the shots I wanted and the photos turned out great. Working with Jenny for our wedding was GREAT. She was super easygoing, and from the very first we were on the same page about what sort of photos we wanted (lots of candids, lots of fun, the basic minimum on pre-posed and cheesy stuff). Browsing Yelp looking for a photographer for my wedding, I luckily came across Jennydee Photography. I checked out her site and fell in love with her pictures! It was exactly what I was looking for for my big day. We set up a meeting to talk to Jenny and Geo, and my husband and I instantly knew we wanted to work with them. Not only were their prices in-line with our budget, but they were just awesome people! They did an absolutely amazing job! We started out with an engagement session in which we included our two dogs. They worked with our schedules and recommended a great location for what we wanted. My husband and I are not photogenic and super awkward (to say the least) in front of the camera, but Jenny and Geo made it so easy and comfortable and we got great pictures. We also did a holiday photo shoot with Jenny and it was awesome. Again, she worked with our schedules and was able to fit us in right away. She was patient with us, and the dogs, and it was a really fun time. We got the perfect holiday card photo! They photographed our wedding at the Brazilian Room/Claremont Hotel in Berkeley on December 3rd. They are so organized and worked with us ahead of time to understand exactly what shots and moments we wanted captured. The day of was an absolute breeze -- they kept everyone on schedule and really knew how to keep it stress-free with their up-beat personalities. Jenny and her husband George did our engagement shoot at the Berkeley Botanical Gardens. It was a beautiful sunny day and we had a great time taking photos. Jenny did a great job directing us for the best poses and the final results were amazing! It only took a few weeks to get the complete set of finished photographs in which there were hundreds of photos. Jenny is great!!! I had her do our engagement photos and they turned out amazing!!! She is very easy to work with -- flexible, communicative, and understanding! She had me provide her with a few poses that I liked. I sent her a LOT (probably about 50), which she had printed out and brought to the photo session to make sure she got them all. The session was fun and went by pretty quickly! My fiance hates to have his photo taken so the fact that he found it not an unpleasant experience says something! The photos were ready in about 2 weeks. I love the posed shots, but especially the candid shots that she took of us! It's pretty hard to pick my favorites! I also liked that the photos looked natural and not over-edited. Photos were posted online (password protected) and also sent on a usb drive.
