I had a terrible experience and was so disappointed. I read many local reviews, which were quite good. I asked Jen to tailor a top temporarily because I borrowed it. I used the word temporary at least 5x and each time she nodded and said no problem. When I picked up the outfit, I reminded her that I would be back in a couple of days to let out the seams again. She again said ok and smiled. When I brought it in this morning, she had no recollection of the temporary part and said she couldn't let it back out. I did not get angry but let her know that I was in a tough spot now. She said sorry and went to the next customer. I took 2 jackets and 1 coat to have repairs done. The 2 jackets needed the zippers replaced and on the coat were hooks. I provided the materials for the coat. I dropped my items off on 12/6 , the older man asked me if I wanted to replace the liner in the coat due to how old it was. I said yes and he charged me a total of $210.00fie all repairs. My receipt had 5 items listed: 3 coats and 2 zippers. I was told to pick up on 12/16. Received a call that they would not be available until after Christmas. I went on 12/29 and was charged an additional $35. I was told they only charged me for one zipper not 2. My receipt had $110 for the liner and hooks, $60 for the sewing of the zippers and $40 for the zippers. How does one zipper cost $40?? I paid $35, wasn't going to argue with them. Took my items to the car to look over and found they NEVER replaced the liner. I immediately went back inside with the coat and confronted them. He was quite surprised when I showed them. They knew what they did. He then only refunded me back $87. They are ripping people off and not honest about their fees. I had heels put on a pair of boots. and when we went to pick them up there was a nail sticking up. I asked if the cobbler could fix it.The women who was very cold, started beating on the nail which at first wasn't much better but still I could feel the nail. Then she hit the nail harder. Do not go here! The lady did not care about the sewing imperfections I tried to show her. She ruined new jeans, never worn. I asked if they could make flare legs straight. The Jean stitching was visible on the front side of the jeans, not a seam on side..... it looked so bad. She rolled her eyes and walked away. I wanted to express my disappointment so others may read this and heed my warning. I recently moved to the area and was looking for a decent dry cleaner. I walked in and dropped off one jacket and one shirt. My only request was could this possibly be done by Friday which was giving them 3 days. These items were my daughters and she needed one item for work. My mistake I never asked how much it would cost due to the fact I was never hit with a bill as high as Jen's Cleaners. My bill was $31.00 for two items. N ow I know where the saying they will take you to the cleaners originated. When I asked politely for a list of prices I was told there was no price list. I mentioned the fact that there is a large sign in the window for men's shirts $1.99 or $2.99 and comforters $20. When I mentioned that they must have a price list somewhere because of what is posted in their window she said that was a special arrangement. I say its a lure for customers to walk in their doors. I don't even want to give one star for this establishment and be careful prior to leaving your dry cleaning or alterations at Jen's without having your price in writing.
