I recently rented a furnished property from Jensen. Upon move-in the property was filthy. There was dog hair and urine on the floors, several of the items that are noted on the lease agreement were not addressed to the standard that they claimed. It was clear the property had been vacant for several months and had not been cleaned to their standard upon the previous tenants move-out. After sending a detailed email with pictures and quoting the lease standards, management did respond by providing a cleaner that came to the property for over 4 hours. We leased the property for 3 months. Upon move-out we were charged an additional cleaning fee for things that were not cleaned upon our initial move-in. For example, they charged us for not cleaning the oven, cleaning windows and wiping out cabinets. These items were never cleaned upon move-in. The dirt they documented was there upon move-in! I thought what their cleaning person did was to the standard they expect. So, we basically were charged for cleaning that THEY never completed. The standard of what was expected changed from our move-in to our move-out in order for them to make a charge towards our deposit. When this was brought to their attention, Jensen justified their charge toward the deposit stating that the property only initially required minimal cleaning. Simply not true! Jensen property will nickle and dime you wherever they can. I get the sense they are understaffed and make their money by charging tenants with unfair fees. Overall my concern is that they are not totally upfront about hidden costs or charges. For example, in order to use the community pool at the property you have to pay a $150 deposit for the key. This was not clearly stated until after move-in. Instructions at times were not clear and left me at one point locked out of the gated community because instructions were not provided. Finally, I don't feel Jensen Property Management is fair in their leasing agreement. We moved in mid month and moved out mid month, but still had to pay the last month's full rent. They state in their move-out instructions that may refund part of the month if you move out early, but of course did not honor that to make their hundreds. 15 days before our lease ended the microwave broke. They simply told us that they were not going to repair the microwave because we were moving out soon anyways. So, we should be flexible and understanding, but you can't be....hmmm? Housing options are hard to come by in Mesquite. Jensen Property Management recognizes this and uses it to their advantage to nickle and dime their tenants. I would not recommend them and it may be best to go with Facebook or other non-exploitative housing options. Its unfortunate they could not be as fair and reputable as they claim to be. This was completely unexpected to have a positive experience with any property management company. I leased a studio for 8 months then moved to a 1 bedroom dec 1st. While in the studio I had the oven and microwave go out at the same time and had it fixed asap! When I moved they had shampooed the carpet and painted as they said they would. We will not be renting anything through Jensen Property Management. My husband and I had an approved application on a condo and went to look at the place. The kitchen had a German cockroach infestation, and when we asked them about it and had questions we were YELLED at over and over by the manager named Lucy throughout the whole conversation. Lucy is one of the worst people to work with I've ever experienced. She has 0 tact and is VERY rude and disrespectful. They completely screwed up then didn't want to figure it out so they just stopped taking our calls and sent us to collections. I won't tell you all the negatives I've heard about Jensen Property Management AFTER our recent interactions. But, if I had known then ... Anyhow, I am giving you a heads up. We were interested in renting a house and noted that Jensen had the most listings. We put in an application on a house without seeing the inside. We drove by it a number of times, thought it looked good and liked the neighborhood. We were somewhat disappointed when we finally got to see it since we had been told it was cleaned and ready for viewing. The walls needed painting, the house was generally dirty and some things were in disrepair. When we went back to the office we were told that the owners would not paint between tenants and would not even pay for the paint. We discussed it at length and decided we would paint and make repairs ourselves. There were a few things Jensen was going to take care of. A few days later we went back to take some measurements, and saw roaches, quite a number of them. When we went back to Jensen and told them about the bugs we were told that the bugs were our responsibility. We declined to lease the property and decided we were lucky to have seen those critters before we signed. They might have been our roomies. read more

i'm from st.george,utah..i was hours away from pre paying a 12 month lease at $1,000/month. ( IN ST.GEORGE) on top of that i was required to pay utilities,around $110-130/month. no cable t.v. enter jensen property management,mesquite,nevada..(38 miles south)..this occured on or around february 1,2021.jensen property management ,mesquite had a rental,in mesquite..2 days later i was living in that rental..happier than happy!..lucy and suzy were as professional,appropriate,responsive as humanly possible. in fact i had a tiny concern in the bathroom..it did NOT need immediate attention..how long did it take jpm to come over the rental to fix it? 6 days? 4 days? 2 days? As a long time renter of many apartments, Jensen Property Management is hands down the best organized, responsible, and reliable company I have ever rented from. Each time I have rented from other management companies personally, I have come to appreciate the rules, professionalism, and prompt attention to my needs that Jensen Management has shown me and my children for years. Furthermore, I worked for a previous property manager in another city with another company that was horrible! Most people that complain about Jensen I have found have complaints the refer to the RENTER, NOT THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY, not being able to follow the lease contract they agreed to. As a previous leasing agent for another company (Not Jensen) I know the havoc renters can create on apartments management companies are completely responsible. I want to refer to Gayle V and her comments. The property management can't pull money out of thin air to paint or re-carpet a place if the owners are not willing to pay for that. Think logical please. An owner makes a deal with a property management like Jensen to rent their property however their property is! Old or new, blue or white, it doesn't matter. IF THE OWNER WANTS TO FANCY UP THE PLACE OR NOT, THAT IS NOT THE MANAGEMENT'S RESPONSIBLITY!! MANAGEMENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ADVERTISING AND RENTING A PROPERTY PER THE OWNER'S REQUEST. If you want to put her down, I think you may have a personal problem getting along with people.She is upfront and honest and doesn't play the fake game to try and get you to rent and then later not follow through. Your assessment of her is very off. Apparently you did not get what you wanted or maybe you need to work on your people skills. They can't make up false bills to send to collections. You obviously are very uninformed and everyone can see by your post you function off of an elementary level when it comes to renting, finances, and apparently you didn't pay rent or hold your end of the lease up or a HUGE AND RESPECTABLE COMPANY LIKE JENSEN does not need to bother with petty people.
