Bought 3 plants at Jernigans and they started dying as soon as I planted them. Spent 38.00 and will not shop at Jernigans again.

Went here for a personal day trip from Wake Forest. It's still winter so there wasn't anything much…read moreto see outside but their greenhouse was nice. Spoke to one of the staff (Jane) and she was very friendly and knowledgeable about the questions I had about a calathea that I was interested in. Another staff member showed me the back where the waterfall is and told me when it will be stocked (late April). I'm pretty excited about coming here again in the spring! The prices are competitive with the other nurseries I've visited. Like I mentioned, they didn't have as many plants bc of the weather and season. They had a nice selection of sansevierias, dieffenbachias, and Aglaonemas, and they had some M. Adonsoniis that were pretty full. Lots of other hanging plants too. They have a gift shop on the premises with lots of decor and plant related items. There is also a huge separate room just for pots - Jane mentioned that they sell a lot of locally made pottery. I was so tempted to get a few! Definitely worth the drive! I'll be returning here in the spring for sure!

I came in yesterday looking for a pot for a golden pothos I inherited. There was also some kind of something on it. Layla checked out the photo I had and said it was a fungus. Which was the best case scenario for me. She guided me on what size pot and what treatments to buy to treat the plant and my other plants in the future when watering. I'm super happy everytime I come in there. Everyone is so kind and so helpful. Looking forward to my next trip out!

What a beautiful family friendly garden, farm, nursery, and event space!…read more I just came here tonight for the first time, driving 45 minutes from Wilmington to attend their special class of picking wheat and then making homemade pizzas with that wheat. Check out their Instagram page and website for more details. Oh my gosh, this was the most fun experience. I am so glad that I did this! For such a cheap and affordable price of only $45, the ticket included a beautiful walk-through of the family Gardens, information about their gardens, upcoming events, and plants and flowers and more. We took a tractor ride out to the fields where we got to pick our own wheat. We then went through the process of turning it into flour by hand. Using the fresh flour that we made from our wheat, we then created our own pizza ms using the word-fired a 900° brick oven on site. This is such a great event for the whole family. In my class, there were kids as young as three years old and adults as old as 70s and 80s. You can attend alone, with a date, with your sibling, with your grandparents... The options are endless! This is friendly for everybody. Bottled water, sparkling water, beer, and wine available on site. They also kindly offered free cookies for dessert. And the place was decorated so beautifully with sparkling lights. They really worked hard to make this place special! I really enjoyed listening to the owner of the farm and nursery as well as meeting the rest of his family who helps with some of the pizza baking process. It poured down rain while I was there, but that made it even more fun and also funny. This place has a lot of events throughout the year and I will definitely be back. If you haven't been here, you certainly should. And think about becoming a member too!
