Very poor visit. I went in for lunch today and went back to work hungry as the wait staff lost our order and finally we had to leave after an hour and 15 minutes of no food. Felt sorry for the girls waiting tables because the owner was there mostly just standing around. I will not be attempting to eat here again. read more

This place has amazing food. Everything is homemade, steak fingers, chicken fried steak, onion rings and fried pickles, cobblers, everything, from scratch. I've always had good service (I always ask for Mallory, she's the best) and it's always clean with quirky decor and a great atmosphere. Glad I found this place and we will likely be regulars! Over 40 minutes for queso, which came out ice cold with no chips! I had to drive back to fix the order which was super annoying. The girls working had no apology and didn't seem to know what was going on. This is the second order in two weeks where the queso was cold. The food is just okay. The prices are outrageous, to get a good meal there expect to pay $20 per person almost. The owner is extremely unprofessional, she can never keep the place staffed because of how she acts and how she chooses to run the place. read more

The food might be pretty good, but the service here is god-awful slow. It takes forever for them to take your order, to get you your drinks, and to get you your actual food. Anything larger than a party of three is guaranteed to be waiting up to 45-60 minutes for food. They're obviously understaffed and are very apologetic, but I don't want to have to wait an hour for a hamburger when I could go to McDonald's and get one. read more

Food was amazing! I had the huevos and chorizo it came with beans, hash brown and a tortilla i added a side of fluffy pancakes. The only reason i give a two star is the service is bad Waitress have horrible customer service, we walked in at 7:30 and didn't get our food til 9:00 we felt bad leaving but the food was worth it just the service was horrible. read more

I was traveling through Kermit around suppertime on a business trip. After unsuccessful attempts to locate two other restaurants listed on Yelp, I stumbled upon Jerrie's Cafe. Outside made me a bit apprehensive, in all honesty. But was starving and I don't care for chain restaurants, so gave it a try. Really good soup/salad bar included with my chicken fried steak dinner. I asked for grilled jalapeños on my steak and mashed potatoes with white gravy, explaining I was happy to pay more for special request. My dinner was excellent and they didn't charge me extra. $11 and some change before tip for all that food. I'll be back when I pass through again. Thanks so much! read more

Their service was absolutely terrible. Many people around us have waited and waited to give the waiters their order. Their waiters didn't impress me either they seemed to be ignoring their customers, picking and choosing. We waited over half an hour for our food. All we ordered was a couple simple cheese burgers. I wanted to like this place, but I cannot write a positive review. It appears to be a Mom and Pop establishment. The outside looks like an old store front, but the inside was really cute. That is all the good I can say. When we walked in the door, no one acknowledged us. We had to ask a fellow patron whether there was a hostess, or if we seated ourselves. Once we sat down, it took about five more minutes before anyone spoke to us and brought us a menu. (By the way, it was about 7:00, and about a third of the tables had people.) When our waitress came, we asked about a few of the menu items, and ordered two grilled chicken specials and a one trip salad bar for my daughter. The bowls were tiny. My daughter didn't even have enough to feel semi-satisfied. A salad bar came with our two specials also. The soup was empty as were several of the basic toppings in the salad bar. After we made and ate our meager salad, we waited for 45 minutes for our food. Our waitress was nowhere to be found, so we asked another waitress if she would check on our food. When she finally came back she told us, "It's not ready." No explanation, no apology. When or food finally arrived, I blinked in disbelief. I had ordered the grilled chicken. The piece of chicken was not even three inches across at its widest point. I often weigh my food for health reasons, and I feel fairly sure there was no more than three ounces of meat. On top of that, there were literally eight French fries and about ten pieces of okra. Most kids meals have much more food! My mom had specifically asked if the baked potatoes were freshly baked. She was assured they were. The potato she received was dry and yellowed around the skin. On top of all of this, our waitress did not stop by a single time to check on us. No refills on our drinks or questions about how the food was. Our meal was also suppose to come with dessert. We had to find our waitress and ask her to bring it to us. Every time we requested something, the waitresses acted as though we were inconveniencing them. I would not go back. I hate to say that about a small town business, but we were highly disappointed. read more
