My wife contacted Chiropractic Health of Matthews to ask if they were in-network for her Blue Cross…read morehealth plan. They said they were, so she made an appointment. At the appointment, they charged her the $25 in-network copay associated with her plan. She was not impressed with the chiropractic treatment she received - didn't seem to help. She had decided not to go back. A couple of days later, she got a bill from the their office for $272. They said they found out they were NOT in-network for my wife's specific plan and she owed for the full visit ($297). What! They were the ones who said they were in-network. Otherwise, my wife wouldn't have gone there. When I called them to discuss this, I asked to speak to a supervisor. She was not available (of course) but would call me back. That didn't happen. I had to follow up until I finally was able to speak to her. She said basically it wasn't their problem and that they didn't find out they weren't in-network until they put through the charges. So the incorrect information they told my wife is HER problem, not theirs. I had to keep following up with the supervisor, who supposedly had to run it by someone higher, and it went nowhere. I would NOT recommend this business from a medical or integrity standpoint.

I'd thought about going to a chiro for a few years for chronic lower back pain and a burning pain in my right thigh, but during those years, every doctor I'd seen from OB/GYN to my GP said, "You're overweight so you'll just have to lose weight or deal with chronic pain." Let me tell you, when you go into someone's office and he looks you in the eyes and tells you that all of that is false and that you can be helped...and then he explains exactly what the issue is and exactly how we're going to fix it... They offer supplements and they also have CBD oil. There is a massage therapist in staff. Dr. Hozjan is wonderful. Very kind and not pushy like some Chiropractors are.
