First of all I've been to several different chiropractors over the years because my husband's job took us all over the country.. I've seen good chiropractors and I've seen really bad chiropractors... And Dr. Atkinson is on the top of the list with a couple of the best ones I've worked with. He was thorough during my new patient examination, listened carefully to all my concerns, and provided excellent care. Manual manipulation is what works best for me when providing spinal adjustments so I appreciated that he is expert with his techniques. As for the office environment, the front desk ladies were as kind as can be, warm and welcoming to not only myself, but my toddler son who they gladly offered to keep company while I got adjusted. This is a great chiropractic office! Dr. Devin is a dedicated, skilled and very knowledgable chiropractor. The office staff are excellent: friendly, knowledgable, attentive, thorough and handle insurance efficiently. I have numerous old injuries and arthritic problems. I injured my knee earlier this summer and came to Dr.Atkinson. He was able to give me some fairly immediate relief and mobility. I'd been limping around for about a month so. Then it took awhile to get the pain down and strengthen the muscles. He has kept me in alignment as I have healed and strengthened and now I'm out walking and even hiking again. I went to Atkinson Family Chiropractic after moving to the area. I had just finished 5 weeks of extensive physical therapy to (hopefully) relieve some sciatic nerve pain I was experiencing. After two courses of steroids & anti-iflamatories, lots of exercises and stretches, and $1000+ in hospital bills, I was having little to no improvement in my condition. After just ONE visit to Dr. Devin, I was properly diagnosed, set up on a track to healing, and was educated in how I could help my body repair itself. While visiting family for Thanksgiving, I pulled some muscles while getting luggage out of my car and was in intense pain. I was so thankful that they worked me into their schedule the day before Thanksgiving - especially as a new patient! Everyone was so nice and welcoming. When you are having to get medical care on the fly, you never know what you are going to have to pay, I was shocked at how affordable their prices were. And the customer service and care was amazing. I started seeing Dr. Atkinson on October 2018- at that time my lower back was in severe pain- I had seen various physical therapists for several years, had MRI's done- and was told I had " Normal degeneration" in the lower spine- To be clear- I could not walk my dogs for more than a few hundred feet- driving over an hour was painful, and yard work was out of the question- Today - roughly one year later, I can walk well over 2 miles pain free, cut my grass with a walk behind mower, and wash my cars- I am now in the process of weening off the pain medicine I was taking- with great results. I've been going to Dr Devin for 8 years. I'm in my 60's and after several years I realized the my MD kept telling me I was 5' 3'' where I had always been 5' 2 1/2". I asked them to double check. Dr. Devin and the rest of the staff are great! I have come on two different occasions for terrible pain (sciatica the first time and lower back pain and spasms the second time) that was making it extremely difficult to do normal daily activities like getting out of bed or getting dressed. Both times he has corrected the issues in my spine that were causing the pain and eliminated the pain. I now go for maintenance to keep my back from getting bad again.
