InterLinc Mortgage opened the Columbus location in January 2015, hiring seasoned mortgage originators within the Georgia and Alabama markets. This location allows us to more effectively serve the our military community (Ft Benning) as well as the areas of Muscogee & Harris Counties (GA) and Phenix City, AL areas.

Meet the Manager: Jerry S.

Jerry Smith serves as InterLinc's Builder Relationship Specialist for the East Alabama & West Georgia markets, as well as the Branch Manager for the Columbus, Georgia branch. Prior to joining InterLinc, Jerry worked at F&M Bank and Trust where he specialized in construction lending for residential & commercial contractors, as well as individuals that wish to build their primary residence. In July of 2013, he was promoted to Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending. His banking career began in 2006 with Synovus Financial Corporation as an assistant branch manager for Columbus Bank and Trust where his primary responsibilities were consumer & residential lending and branch operations. He later served as an Internal Auditor with the Synovus loan review department, evaluating risk grades for the bank's loan portfolio. Jerry received a Bach of Science in Ed. and minor in Economics from the Univ. of W. Georgia. He later earned his Masters of Business Administration from Troy Univ.
