Without going into the whole story, she was rude and condiscening with no customer service skills at all. needless to say, I bought my insurance from a different Farmers agent.

Liberty Mutual is working hard to leave California. First they cancelled my "umbrella" policy. The…read moreone they worked so hard to convience me to take out. Then in March 2025 just to be clear they sent a note saying my home premium had to be doubled. Something about poor California wildfire management. I have always paid my premium in whole for the year. I also had 3 cars with Biberty Mutual. I was paying over $800 a year for a truck I drove 10 miles a month. I found a great deal with Grundy for a quarter of that. When cancelling the coverage for my truck my premium for the other two cars went up by $282. I should have gotten $206 back from cancelling the truck 3 months early but got a notice that I owe $77 and that the $206 "refund" went towards the premium increase. Now I have no claims into Biberty Mutual for cars or home, Have been a paying customer for over 20 years. Calls into customer service unfortunately require patience and google translate since we have no idea where we are calling to. I have found the California Insurance Commission to be useless, run by people living in denial. So I did find good deals with other reputable companies that have people to talk to.

VERY VERY disappointing…read more I had life insurance with them since 202, and this past September, Alex's assistant, Sara, emailed me, letting me know that I could change my policy from 20-year to 30-year or permanent and that over $600 in rollover credits would be available to me. After going through the underwriting process, my premium was much higher than quoted. Although I understand this can be quite common, I was only told the $600 rollover credit was applicable to permanent life insurance--after I had ALREADY signed for a 30-year term policy!!!! When I asked to have my policy reverted back to a 20-year policy, this appeal was denied. For months, I was stuck somehow paying for both policies with very confusing reasoning as to why that was. I'll be honest, this felt like a bait and switch. I'd so elsewhere for life insurance.

Customer service people are great, it's just that the company executives are greedy heartless people.
