ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE - AVOID THIS COMPANY First and foremost, do not order from this absolute shame of a company. They completely neglect to inform you that items are backordered for 4 to 5 weeks. To make matters worse, when you ask to cancel the order, they ignore the request entirely. The item eventually showed up weeks later--completely useless to me, as I had already been forced to buy it elsewhere due to their silence. When I called to get a return label, they never sent it. I placed an order with this company, Two stainless steel tables and two stainless steel tables. Shipping was calculated by the website at the time of purchase. A few days later I receive an email from someone working for Jes stating that the shipping had to be recalculated because the items were coming from 2 different manufacturers. They wanted me to pay an additional $780 in shipping in order to fill my order. That instantly made me feel like the site was a scam. But, After a few hours of back and forth, I cancelled the order and in thier defence, they did cancel and refund without issue. I would not attempt to use them again, I cannot recommend them at all. read more

I put in an order May 31st for 38 chairs for my restaurant. I was told to give them a couple days to process it then call to get an approximate ship date. I called on June 2...was told they would call me back...they did not Over the next two weeks I called two more times, on June 18th I finally received a call back telling me that they were unable to place the order. *This order was paid on May 31st over $5,500. On the 18th of June I was told I would get a refund to my card. On June 23rd I called again as I had not received a credit. To my surprise there was no credit in process. I was then told someone would get back to me within 48 hours... On June 24 I did receive an email letting me know they would process it in 7 to 10 days. This is a company I will absolutely avoid in the future. I went ahead and filed a claim with my credit card company...after reading so many reviews of them not refunding money and just stringing people along as long as possible. It's now been 3 weeks since they originally told me I'd get my money back...and 13 business days (17 days) since they confirmed I'd get it back... ...I still don't have it back... Unfortunately you MUST cancel through your creditor, or you have to pay interest while this company keeps your money. I purchased a 60-inch worktable, realized it was to large for the space, called JES explained the situation and in turn purchased 48-inch worktable.. Total cost in all $4,585.00. Asked JES to pick up the 60-inch worktable, wow! it went downhill from there. As long as you're buying they are flying to help you. The representatives make up their own restocking prices, shipping prices, To return the worktable the restocking fee was 50% of the price. Thats egregious! especially when I purchased another piece of equipment that was smaller and the shipping charges were higher than the 60 in worktable. No explanation for that, all they say is DUNNNO. Needless to say, they will RIP YOU OFF so don't waste your time, with this business. However, a few months later I called JES to check on the status of said items and they demanded another $4k on the phone, or else my order would have to be canceled. What a waste of time. Avoid JES at all costs as they will NOT lock in your pricing at the time of your order. I placed an order for a product which was "in stock" and with their guaranteed, 2 day processing for "in stock" items. 25 days later, nothing! Not an email, not a call. When I talked with them no one was able to tell me anything, except, I can forward an email with your concerns, and somebody will get back with you. We are building a new house and ordered a refrigerator from them. The box arrived undamaged on 10/19/20 and we did not unbox it as it was going to be installed once we got that room and the cabinets built. When we unpacked it (12/29/20), the front had a TERRIBLE dent in it. I contacted customer service immediately and they have done absolutely NOTHING. They even told me I had to purchase a new door. They would do nothing. I then asked to speak to a manager to help me and they called me once, left a message. I have since called them over 5 times and left voice mail after voice mail with ZERO response. I have also sent email after email to get someone to help me and finally I am having to just purchase another door. I understand having policies but working with a customer who just spent as much as we did on a refrigerator is just completely unprofessional. At least listen and give me a break, but they wouldn't and even having the lack of response from Management to just have a conversation with me. Such a poorly managed company. I worked in Operations for 25 years and NEVER would treat a customer like they have. I emailed asking for a response on 12/29 Jan 9 & Jan 16 to Stacy Higginbotham (Customer Service Rep). Joe Benoa (Sales Manager) left me a message on Jan 12. I left messages daily on his voice mail since then asking to be called back and not once has he reached out to me. On Jan 16 I sent another email to Stacy to try and escalate this up to a higher level of management without any response. This is the most unprofessional organization I have ever dealt with. The insinuation that I am being dishonest is completely unjust.  I can prove to them that I am building a house and that the unit sat in the box, which was not damaged.  Once the cabinets were built the unit was unboxed by the builder, Greg and Pat Martelli at Foxhill, LLC.  The builder can and will attest to this.  So insinuating my dishonestly is completely inaccurate.  However, the Management team won't return my calls so I can even explain this to them.  They have completely avoided the issue by not responding to me and haven't even given me the opportunity to explain the extenuating circumstances of this purchase.  Wouldn't it be prudent to speak with the customer and potentially honor their product in a unique situation?  I would think so.  Were I a company that upheld my product I would at least speak with the customer and try to rectify the situation, even if the result would be my paying for the part that was damaged.  At least speak to me and they have not even done that.  I would also like to point out that I would not build a $2 million dollar home and be dishonest about a $4000 appliance. They refuse to return my calls  I have called the Sales Manager 5 times on the dates I added in the complaint.  What type of company treats customers in this fashion? Finally, in an attempt to actually purchase the part myself since they were not responding or helping me I called again a couple weeks ago.  I gave Carl the model number and asked for a price for the part.  He was supposed to email me the price and I never heard back from him once again.  Its amazing to me that not only will they not work with me but they won't even help me when I am trying to get a price for the part that is damaged. I have never been treated so poorly by a customer, been called a liar and dishonest without even attempting to help me whatsoever in any form or fashion.  Its completely unprofessional and insulting.  I want to get the refrigerator part replaced so I can have a nice looking appliance in my home. read more

I received the chocolate fountain in a timely manner and it worked great. Sephra makes a great home fountain product. My only concern is the one advertised at JES said it was an Elite Sephra fountain but the one I received was a Classic. Sephra makes three tiers of home fountains: Select, Classic, and Elite. I probably wouldn't have bought it at that price if I knew it was a Classic one. But, we needed it for two parties we were having and didn't have time to return and find an Elite one. read more

I ordered an Advance Tabco table from Jes Restaurant Equipment. The table was shipped by Central Transport to Hayward CA. I picked up the box from the shipper and signed for the delivery. I did not opening the unit on the loading dock, but put it in the back of my minivan and drove home. I opened the box and discovered that the table had a large dent on one side and in the middle. I can only presume it was dropped from a high place. I contacted Jes to get a replacement/refund and spoke to a manger. She indicated that since I did not open the package on the loading dock, and signed for the unit, that I accepted responsibility. I see there is another review on Yelp for a similar issue. I wish I would have read the review before I used this company. I am filing a claim with the transport company and working with my credit card company. All buyers beware Jes Restaurant Equipment does not offer good customer service and will not take back damaged goods or provide refunds after you sign away your rights! read more

I have been waiting for my package since May. When I ordered it was supposed to be here in 4 days. I have called about 6 times at least, with no return calls or answers and nothing but a runaround. It is a big purchase for my restaurant, a waitress station. Also, they said the shipping price was wrong and put another shipping charge on it. The shipping cost me as much as the merchandise did. They hide behind their terms and conditions, while not honoring anything they will tell you, over the phone or by email. If you need any "customer service", EXPECT the worst possible scenario, don't believe a word they say, and definitely start documenting everything. As a default policy, they will make excuses, make promises they intend to break, and at no point will they respond or initiate communication. They will string you along and keep any money they charge you. You'll need to file a dispute with your card issuer if you hope to recover any wrongful charges. I placed an order at 10:30p one night, and it arrived via FedEx Ground at my door 6 days later. Not counting the weekend, that's 4 business days, and FREE shipping!!!! The package was apparently drop shipped directly from the Distributor/Manufacturer, and was clean, brand new, and packed well in every way. I couldn't have been happier. Since the tracking updates nightly, I called in to customer service during the day. They placed me on brief hold, and returned with all the info. After reading some of the other feedback here, I was worried. But, I came back especially for this review to let you know that my experience was top notch. They were cheerful, friendly, and, I would deal with them again. read more
