The man who owns this place is one of the rudest people I've ever encountered. He screamed and berated me for stepping one inch into his store without a face mask on. Despite the CDC guidance lifting everything, and mask mandates being lifted for over 6 months. We can all have our own opinions on masks, but don't TREAT people like this. There is a way and tone on how to speak to anyone in life. Treat people with dignity, courtesy, and respect. He belittled and berated me in front of everyone. I said, "sir what guidance is this following?" In the most nasally, snarky, proud response he says, "MY OWN!!! Get out of my store!!!!!" I'm sitting in my car still shocked at how I was treated.

It's the type of place you want to keep checking back because they get new stuff all the time. My biggest gripe is the fact that they have a $25.00 minimum for credit card purchases. Now, any minimum charge irritates me as it is, however, a $5.00 minimum, which is the norm, is something I can handle. But, $25.00?! Seriously? They ended up taking my credit card for a $20 purchase but also made me give them my phone number. I know it can be hard for business owners but in this day and age when millions of purchases are made world wide just by providing an email address linked to Pay Pal, it felt like a whole lot of unnecessary rigmarole.

I'm not sure where to begin, as I am no antique expert nor am I a thrifter. I am merely in search of a previously-owned dry bar, preferably in good condition with a dash of character. I was so utterly overwhelmed with the sheer volume of items in this shop, it literally took me a few minutes to get my bearings and being rummaging. Lots of furniture - curio cabinets, headboards, end tables and every kind of lamp imaginable. It was all stuffed in so hap-hazardly, had there actually been a bar in there, I don't know that we would have spotted it. I relented and asked The Voice From Somewhere, and alas, there was no dry bar to be had. I can't imagine anything in there is especially precious or considered a real "antique," but stuff there is and loads of it, so if you're in the market for a funky coffee table or a gilded mirror, this is your treasure trove, fo' sho'.

Found this cute little antique shop right off the bike path in Warren. It is actually 2 shops in…read moreone building. One is more like a thrift shop and the other is a little fancier and has bigger items like furniture. You can find anything from costume jewelry, linens, art, and furniture to yard and garden decor. The owner, Barbara is delightful and has lived in the area her whole life. She gets new items in all the time so it's worth it to pop in from time to time. If there is something special you're looking for, you can let her know and she will keep an eye out and call you when she has something for you. The name comes from the fact that the Warren Times office was actually where the fancier store is now. Originally she only had the thrift store and that was called Behind the Times. This store is a great addition to all of the quaint vintage and antique stores in the neighborhood.
