I looked *stunning*. We had fun, relaxed, and used all the available props. Marie was constantly asking me if I was 'okay' to ensure I was at ease. I felt completely at ease changing outfits and trying other poses. When I saw my shots, I literally cried and we had to pause our picture selection process. Marie comforted me and assured me this was my inner woman. OMG, she was so right! I was without words as to how well she captured me. I was being polite in the moment; that doesn't mean the final product matched the price, the preview, or the vision we discussed. Part of the issue was styling: I brought my own outfits for a specific look but was steered toward studio pieces. A few worked, but some were loose or oversized and not flattering. At this price point, client vision should take priority over studio convenience. There were also a few unnecessary comments about my body and "energy" that didn't feel professional for a high-priced session. If you book here, get the full cost, deliverables, and retouching policy in writing first.

I haven't done a photo shoot or taken many pictures since last summer, because I had brain surgery that left me with facial paralysis and very self conscious. Chelsea was very empathetic and thought about this fact both before and after the shoot. She thought of poses beforehand where I would be comfortable, and asked multiple times during the shoot if I was comfortable with the angle at which I was facing the camera. She was able to think in the moment when the light wasn't optimal to still get some great shots while we were waiting for the light to change, she hiked with us to get to the best spot for shots, and even waded into a stream with me at the end of our shoot to get a couple of shots I wanted!
