I have been frequenting Jessika's Aware Skincare for many years and have to say the knowledge and skills of Jessika has only gotten better with time! This trip I came to begin my fibroblast experience. The first picture on top is right after the start, left feeling like a goddess excited as time unfolded to see how this new anti aging and non invasive procedure went. I went to Jessika for a eyebrow wax and it was a great experience! Even though I just got my brows done I could tell right away that anything done by Jessika would be a quality job. This is not just your quick , blot and rip wax job, it's a relaxing spa experience! First I was taken into a relaxing room and offered a healthy rooibos tea in a traditional China tea cup. There was soft music playing and it was definitely a peaceful atmosphere. Jessika is very sweet and professional. Not only will she make sure she knows what shape you want before she starts, but she will also check in with you after to make sure it's exactly what you want. Other brow places I have been too don't even ask or if they do they don't ask again and I'm sometimes to shy to speak up if I don't like it. However, Jessika asked me how I like my shape and when I said I wanted just a little more taken off she did so without hesitation . The best part though was the relaxing after treatment to my brows. I wasn't just sent out with red puffy brows, I got a special salve made with lemon balm and other essential oils that smelled amazing and calmed my skin. Next she used a metal ball tool to gently soothe my skin, it felt like ice cooling my skin, but without the wetness or overly shocking coldness of ice. If that wasn't amazing enough she even applied a protective BB cream to my eye area to prevent sun sensitivity. She knew I had sensitive skin (yes she asked!) and so she protected my skin from the sun! What a wonderful experience this was and all for a price much lower than other competitors who give less quality! I received a gift certificate from one of my clients a couple years back as a thank you and I was so excited to use it after not having a facial for a few years! I am SO HAPPY I was given the gift of Jessica because I am OBSESSED with her AND her facials! The moment you walk in she greets you in a soft manner and takes you into her treatment room (it is one out of three other rooms in the office space she shares, it is well decorated and tranquil). She had a small crystal glass of herbal tea and a chocolate laid out and left me to fill out a short questuinaire about my skin regimen and she left me to undress and lay down. The bed was really comfortable and when she came in to start the treatment, she added a warm rice pillow under my lumbar for added support. She then turned the facial steamer to me and began the treatment. She only uses products she believes in and I am so impressed with her knowledge on how everything works and what it does. She will explain the product to you as she uses it, whether it be a pure witch hazel or a natural/organic facial cleanser. She knows her stuff, and it's amazing! Once she moves onto the massage part of the facial, be prepared to be drunk with tranquility. Seriously, BEST EVER. I don't know what she does to be so amazing but I don't even feel as relaxed when I leave my massage therapist! She has a relaxing aura that seems to pass to you and you just melt. My hands were a little fidgety once and she place rose quartz stones in my hands to keep from moving around, which I really appreciated because it helped me focus and relax. At the end of the facial, she leaves you to dress and meet her in the waiting area. The check out process is quick and she gave me a sheet of ingredients to look out for in all my current beauty products. Which I thought this was so great to have because it takes the guess work out of wondering if you're using harmful ingredients on your body. She does not preasure you into buying any of her products, which is refreshing. She is so easy to talk to and has a very positive attitude. You can tell she really loves her career as an Aesthetician and wants to educate her clients about their skin and how to take care of it. She is constantly immersing herself in new innovations, products and techniques, whether they be present day or ancient regimens. All in all, Jessica is a GURU when it comes to skin care and I have continued to see her since for facials and microdermabrasions over the last 2 years. Jessika is an amazing esthetician! My very first facial was with her a few years ago and truly made me see the value and importance in skin care. I had always felt "touchy" about my face being massaged or touched and didn't know how I would be able to let go and relax during the session but sure enough I fell in love with the whole process! My face tingled and her work sent chills down my arms, it felt so good! She made me feel very comfortable and let me know certain things she was doing for my face from the information I had given her. I tend to have oily yet dry patchy skin that I can't fix and her products immediately showed a difference in the quality of my skin! Not only did she take care of my face with natural scrubs and products, but during a portion of the time where she was letting a mask dry on my face, she massaged my neck and shoulders! Oh my gosh! Omg loooooved her !!!! Sooo glad I went to Jessika for my facial. I was in need of one and long overdo so I decided I'd stop putting it off and search for a place to get one done. I have sensitive skin and am prone to acne so I get scared when doing facials because I get super red and the extraction process can be painful. I searched yelp and she got really promising reviews, so thank you previous yelpers you guys are the best. I then called her and left a message. She promptly got back to me and set up a appointment right away . Jessika was very knowledgeable and paid attention to my skin needs and what I wanted to see improvement on. I've had a couple facials from other places before but they all never made me want to come back. The past facials I've had I always felt pressured to purchase items at the end and I always felt like I was just a dollar sign to the esthetician. However, Jessika is completely different and surpasses all the expectations I've had for a facial. I came in with concerns about my skin being oily and acne prone with enlarged/clogged pores. Jessika greeted me with some delicious tea and chocolate and let me fill out a form that described my current face cleansing routine. After filling it out and settling in, Jessika began to steam my face while she looked over my form and discussed with me what facial would be best for my situation. After we talked about what facial we would be doing she began to work and being absolutely honest here - I fell into an incredibly amazing relaxing state. Jessika let me fade into a sleepy daze and let me enjoy the facial. At other places the esthetician would tell me about all the products I needed to buy, Jessika on the other hand did tell me about the product she used on my face but never tried to sell it. She only described what she was using and why she was putting it on my face but never pressured me to purchase. During the facial she also gave a face, neck; arms and shoulder massage - SHE IS AMAZING! I work at shoulder desk all day and she immediately felt the knots and stiffness. While she let the cooling eye mask do its work she went back to my stiff back and worked on it until the end of the session. After the facial/massage she let me take my time to finIsh my tea and chocolate. I then met her outside to talk about what we could do for my skin moving forward. I'll be booking with her again for a clarifying enzyme mask in 2 weeks! I also did buy an enzyme scrub from her. During the extraction part of the facial she mentioned my skin could benefit from enzymes to break down my black heads. She didn't try to pressure me into buying anything and actually didn't offer products until I asked more about it. Jessika is very sweet and makes you feel totally comfortable! She's also a great facialist and an equally great masseuse! My skin definitely felt great afterwards, she did warn me the first two days could be a little bit of a setback as my skin is trying to heal because it felt "attacked" during the facial but after 2 days she said I will definitely see the benefits of the facial (which was expected since "skin is always worse before it gets better" especially after introducing it to new products and extractions).
