Facilities are all a bit worn and to be honest the welcome is a bit worn down too. A last resort for the weary traveler. Better available just off the motorway if you are organised. Avoid buying thr fuel as it is stupidly expensive. All said I will return for greasy KFC and a break from the road, it is what it is.

It's got plenty of parking, and is also on the numbers 16 and 4 bus routes, you can't miss the place - it's huge! In there I managed to sign up to an extremely cheap phone contract, buy some clothes in the sale, pick up groceries, fill up the car with petrol AND get my eyebrows threaded in the space of about an hour. The phone shop staff are very helpful and friendly, and the deal was cracking (£10 a month for 500 mins, unlimited texts and 2GB data if you're wondering!), as was the lady who threaded my eyebrows for £5, after waiting less than 5 mins (walk up service). Yes it's a big supermarket, so it can be a bit lifeless and miserable inside when it's busy, however if you're in need of something quick there's a good chance this place will have it, and it's open 24 hours!

As well as having the usual handy little shop, where you can purchase journey snacks, sweets, drinks, papers, magazines, cigarettes and so on, they also offer a car wash service. They can provide a hand car wash, wax and dry service should your vehicle need a bit of a spruce! Petrol was around the 110.9 area and diesel 112.9 when I was last in the area, but as we all know this is subject to change. Interestingly enough, bit of trivia for you, at the time of the google maps images petrol was 118.9 and diesel 131.9! A whole 19p more per litre on the diesel front! Fascinating.

The MOT was booked on a groupon voucher so it was cheap and brought me to ATS which isn't my normal go to for car stuff. The staff were polite and efficient and dealt with the car quickly while I waited. There was no 'hard sell' of extras and unnecessary repairs which are often a part of using chain garages. I left a happy man
