I messaged Jet Black on Yelp in an attempt to obtain a quote on replacing the factory tint on my vehicle. I explained, in detail, what I needed done. I was given a quote of $80 and the representative asked me if I wanted him to see availability. I confirmed I needed availability; however, he did not respond immediately. I went to the location near my home to find out when I could get the work done. The gentleman there gave me a different quote of $150 - Yes, $70 more that originally quote. Absolute rip-off! Quoted one price over the phone and given a different price at the time of window tint installation. I have never seen so many air bubbles trapped inside tint! There was only 1 person working. He was rude, seemed irritated or annoyed. His appearance was disheveled like he just woke up and came to work in the clothes he slept. When I complained he pulled a Karen and threatened to call the police, which I welcomed! He calls the so called owner who was just as rude and arrogant. The owner is also a liar. He stated he would refund my money. He even went so far as to ask for all my contact information to forward me the necessary documents to initiate a refund. I never heard from the owner again. I want to preface this by saying that I did use this business for my previous car and had roughly the same experience. However, I purchased the online $69 "all window full vehicle window tint" which happens to only be 5 windows if you read the fine print, however this is including those little bitty windows either in the front or rear and I didn't assume that. Now, I made the appointment for my tint using the same phone number and when I arrived at 1:30pm, the man at the location said he couldn't do it because it was too late to do the tint and he didn't want to start the project that late. Apparently, he didn't know it was a tint job? He said removing the tint was difficult and didn't want to do that but would, and explained that the front two windows would be an additional $150 plus tax for that and the $69 I paid since the website doesn't charge tax. He then said to bring it another day at 9am and drop it off all day. I'm not sure if this lack of communication and terrible customer service is a normal business practice but this is twice that they've done it to me. The first time I assumed it was because I had a large car and it was my fault, but this second car was a small one and shouldn't have been an issue since when I made the appointment I gave the person all the information about tint removal and how many windows were needed. Either way, just avoid this scam of a business for tint. read more

To my amazement I was made aware that my favorite tint company JBT ALSO HASE A LOCATION IN TEXAS! Man, it only seems like yesterday that they tinted my Mercedes Benz a few years ago in California.
