I recently was able to get an exmption to get back to my home in the USA after being trapped in Australia with constant covid lockdowns. During my stay in Australia one of the best things to ever happen was finding my beloved English Staffordshire Terrier ROXY. I tried many times to get flights but everything got a flight in mind I wound up in lockdown. Finally I applied and got my exemption and my chance to get back home to usa . Now I had Roxy my baby to deal with. I emailed just companies of which both have great reputations in transporting pets world wide. I took a chance with Jetpets and I'm soo glad I did. From the initial email and phone consultation to booking roxys flight handling all required government procedures and documentation they where stellar.jet pets is a God send. To anyone thinking about transporting your pet locally within interstate in Australia or internationally go with jetpets. Now after getting all documents scanned and full payment to them I was ready to fly out I timed it so roxy would get into lax 2 weeks later. Sure enough 2 weeks before my flight jetpets had everything in place the deviered a crate with very friendly staff so we had two weeks and 2 further weeks to crate train roxy. I'm in la ca usa the time had come for roxy to fly out she was picked up on time by the pros of jetpet. I got email and text updates Report cards and photos through the entire process. Soon enough roxy was in Sydney got her government vet check and stayed the night in Sydney. The we got confirmation she was ready to fly out to usa on time as scheduled She was delivered on time in la ca and more importantly amazingly healthy although a bit jetlagged To jet pet's I can't say enough thank yous If you are in need of a service like this go with jetpets I'm sure there more expensive than other smaller companies but you are putting your fur babies life into their hands And from their hands they safely delivered my fur baby roxy to me. Thanks again Jetpets Cindy my rep and all the team. Greg. read more

In short, I can see why this is a good business for international moves or interstate where there is no pet check-in facility at the airport, but it is otherwise a very expensive, inconvenient and rigid/unhelpful service. Let me explain. 1) Service Delivery -- JetPets does not provide transport service on weekends or outside business hours. What, frankly, is their point then?! The reason most travelers want this service is because they work and can't do it themselves during business hours, and they often want to travel on weekends. Very unhelpful. This is their biggest flaw and the main reason this business gets such a low rating from me. 2) Flexibility / convenience -- I found the service to be very inflexible, and their proposals actually created more problems and inconvenience for me. Because they do not work outside business hours, all their solutions involved significantly more costs. Also, they cannot give you any indication of pick up times until the day before. That is impossible to plan around or to cater if you have a day job. 3) Cost -- it is very expensive. That would be fine if they solved problems, but they only seem to create difficulties / head aches, and then charge you more. During a couple of my experiences with them, they also mis-represented costs, distances and opening times of freight centers (perhaps by error, but if so then that means they don't understand their core business). For example, they told me that the cost of Qantas pet travel was the most expensive. I later contacted Qantas and was informed that between Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne the cost of carrying a pet under 20kg on the same flight as me is $0 - yes, nothing! Very disappointed JetPets - especially when they wanted to charge me $350 for the same service. 4) Staff -- Other than the headquarter staff not understanding their own business (and not having actually been to a lot of the facilities they are trying to sell), they were quite friendly and tried to help. Unfortunately their business model is holding them back. 5) International - this is a very useful service for international travel. Finally, before you engage JetPets, I strongly encourage you to contact the airlines directly. If pet accommodation is required, there are also a number of high quality pet kennels etc that will arrange pick up from airports (and often for much cheaper). Good luck with your pet travel. read more
I used Jetpets for the move of my two animals from Melbourne back to the US. While Jetpets is expensive, I did a price comparison among a couple services. There are probably 2 or 3 others I researched and called before settling with Jetpets. While a touch more expensive if I recall, responsiveness goes a long way when it comes to your 4-legged family members. Moving animals to the US means no quarantine arrangements to deal with. But I did have some complicated things to figure out, and JPs made it easy for me. They worked like crazy to handle all the details. And even though my rep (Andrea) was probably dealing with 100 other cases all at once, she made me feel like I was her only customer. Even six months later when I needed my tax invoice to be resent, I heard back immediately with not only the invoice but a friendly note. Would definitely call them again if the need arose. read more

Last week, I was receiving a cat from Melbourne to Singapore and hadn't received all the shipment paperwork that was being requested from our freight partner. It was late in the afternoon and past closing hours, so the manager who had previously been helping us was out of the office. I was a bit short tempered, frustrated, and probably not that pleasant to speak with as I worried about not being able to claim the cat due to the missing paperwork. The team was absolutely calm, helpful and professional in dealing with the issue. They even went over and beyond the call of duty to call my freight partner to clarify the documents and process necessary and also touched base with your team in Singapore to ensure they were on call and able to support if any issues occurred. It seems the error was on the freight partner's side, but they were total problem solvers. They even later dropped us a note letting us know the flight was delayed. I am very impressed with the quality of your service. And deeply appreciative that our little furball arrived safely to Singapore. Thank you for your help and support and for having such great service and quick action to resolve any issues. I will recommend you in the future. read more

I booked for my pets to fly to townsville 2 months in advanced. Only to find out on Christmas eve, not kidding, Christmas eve (24/12/15) that the muppets wanted my pets to fly an extra 6h because they forgot to book them. Did they admit to this? No of course not, I had to call the actual frieght company to confirm that the first they heard of my animals was the 23/12/15. Not impressed, do not use. Incompetence is actually dangerous for animals. Not to mention all the extra money involved in having to reroute flights, hotel booking, car bookings for me. What is the point of me being organised only to be let down less than 7 business days before our departure? read more

I had to leave Australia to go back to France with my cat. It's a long journey with a stop over, quite stressful when you care about your pet. But Jetpets was perfect, they answered all my questions very nicely (not only giving the answers but really making me feel as I was their only customer), they dealed with the paperwork perfectly. My cat has been picked up on time, no trouble at the airport or in boarding. No trouble during the change of plane either. When I had to contact the company, they answered the same day or the day after, so very fast. They even sent me several pictures of my cat before taking off. I can't be more satisfied, really! As I said, it was quite stressful to me to leave my cat alone and for a big trip. But once in Paris, when I had to pick him up, he even seemed happy in his crate (I trained him during several weeks, going for a ride with him in the crate but he hated it, so it was another worry), and he was happy to meet me as well. Afterward, he adapted very good to his new environment. He didn't loose weight, he didn't loose hair, he ate well and his stomach was fine too (I heard some pets have some difficulties to relieve themselves after this kind of journey). PERFECT!! I will definitely use the services of Jetpets if I have to travel again. They are more than polite, nice and efficient, not even more expensive than other companies to who I asked for a quotation. I will just give an advice to people who plan to go on a long journey with stop over(s): each time I entered the plane, I told the hostess about my cat to let the captain know there's a pet on board (in the cargo area), for the pressure and the heat regulation. Not only each time I talked to them they went to warn the captain but they also came back to give me a feedback, so I knew my cat was going to be fine but me too!!! (remember that Jetpets or any other company is not in charge of what happens during the flight, it's therefore your turn to speak for your pet). Good luck in your travels, and do not fear to make the wrong choice if you choose Jetpets :) read more

I was recommended this company by a removalist company, who was taking my goods from Sydney to Brisbane. I rang them for a quote, and the removalist company said that if I mention this person's name and who recommended, I would be able to receive a discount. The total price for moving my cat was $300 - how is this a discounted price?! I decided to wait and think as the date I wanted wasn't yet a definite. I called them back just over a week before the planned date of the 28th December, and the guy who was dealing with my quote, said if you pay by Friday before the date, we should be good to book my cat. I paid on Thursday by BPAY as they allowed that payment option. They asked me for a screenshot of my receipt, and I said I pressed SAVE, but it didn't end up saving on my phone. I sent them a screenshot of my transaction statement - still wasn't acceptable. I had to follow up on Friday as I received no response, and they said without an account number where the money was going TO, they couldn't process it. So I ended up having to ring my bank, for a receipt, which I found, and sent, and they said it still wasn't acceptable. It's not my choice that my bank doesn't record the account going TO. I decided to do a test and transfer some of my money to a different account and screenshot that - and found that the receipt details for that test didn't show the account number it was going to! After all I provided to the company which they refused to accept that I paid my money from all the different screenshots I sent to them, my cat ended up missing the date of being picked up from the pick up address and flying to Brisbane on the 28th. I paid $300 which is now stuck in limbo, and they can't give me my money back until next week. Don't ever go with these people! It is a rip off! Instead, I rang Australian Air Express, and they were more helpful and they had more available fights at a MUCH CHEAPER COST. They said it shouldn't cost more than $70 to fly my cat! I still have to pay $60 to buy the crate which is airline approved, but I will end up paying less than half of Jetpets! read more

Brilliant. Jetpets helped me transport my cat from San Francisco to Adelaide and it absolutely would not have happened without them. The vet clinic responsible for her vaccination paperwork were completely unhelpful after losing her rabies vacc certificate and after months of desperate phone calls with no progress Kristy-Ann from Jetpets had the problem resolved within a week. No other pet transport company I contacted were as responsive and helpful. I was updated every step of my cats' journey, and she arrived looking healthy and happy. Would recommend to anybody. read more
