I have been going to benchwork for years my husband would always bring my watches and rings there…read moreso after he passed away I continued going there and I wouldn't bring my jewelry to anyone else I brought a watch that was for my husband that he received when he was playing football at McNeese University and this watch was over forty years old, it was dirty and it wasn't working so l brought it to Chris and explained to him that this watch was for my husband and that he had passed away and I wanted to give this to our son who is a jr and looks, walks, talks just like his daddy and as my eyes filled with tears he knew just what that watch meant to me. He said he couldn't make any promises to me and explained what work it needed but that he would do his best. He called me a week later, which is a long time for Chris and when I looked at the watch I cried again. It looked so good all clean and polished and working. He said he didn't know how long it would work but he did his best. It was still working months later when I gave it to my son and I wish Chris could have seen his face. He gave us what money couldn't buy, he gave us a little piece of my Fred that my son can touch and for that we are eternally grateful. Since that time, I have repeatedly emailed and called the store, requesting an update and tracking info. I have never received a response to my multiple email inquiries. The last time I called, the woman I spoke to said they always wait until the customer can't lodge a complaint or try and do a chargeback for an item before they will engage or send out an item. I could hear the owner in the background saying no, she wouldn't speak to me, to get my number and she would call me back. She never did. I now have to go through the process of reporting this business as fraudulent and lodging a dispute, as they clearly do not intend on fulfilling my order. This business is a scam and stealing people's money. Buyer beware.

I quickly brought my ring in the Slidell, LA store for sizing and was promised it no later than 10 days. 7 long weeks later I received my ring back and the quality of service was terrible you could clearly see where the ring had been cut for sizing and sautered terribly, but after waiting 7 weeks I took the ring and dealt with it. 1 year later I went into the Metairie , LA store and surprisingly received the BEST service ever, I purchased a 1ct. ring enhancer and not only did they size it and get it back to me in less than 5 days they even repaired the terrible job the previous repair shop did. I faithfully get me ring inspected and cleaned every 6mths and have never had a problem with it until 4/13/2015. I brought it to the Lake Charles, LA store and after inspection they tell me that there are 4 stones loose, so despite what I wanted I went ahead and left the ring for repair. The ring was promised on 4/25/2015. On 4/26/2015 I picked the ring up and excited I would finally get it back. Stupid me to think Kay wouldn't screw it up again. They downsized the ring without my request and the stores response was pretty much just sorry nothing we can do about it it's going to be another 10 days. Although they lied to me and told me they would request a rush order since it was a mistake on their part but they didn't 10 days later on the promise date I CONTACTED THEM at 540pm asking why I hadn't received a phone call and I was rudely told they had until close of business day on the promise date to contact me. At this point I was livid so I figured it may be beneficial to contact the customer service team to help better my experience, LOL STUPID ME AGAIN... I got the absolute worse person ever. He contacted the store in attempt to find out why I hadn't had the ring back especially since the 2nd repair was their fault he even thought they should have rushed it and gotten it back to me sooner. The store then informs him that the ring is yet again being sent back to the repair shop because there is another loose stone in the ring. Within minutes the store suddenly wants to contact me. I then ask the customer care person what Kay store in the United States should I bring my ring to that is competent to service it and his response to me was "well ma'am if they didn't do it right maybe you should try another store" SERIOUSLY??? Is that how people are trained to deal with your customers? He also told me that the store is trying to make the ring perfect for me.. Seriously? They couldn't do that the first 2 times? At that point I was livid yet again, I contacted the store and instructed them not to send my ring back that I would be picking it up. I am at the point I no longer want to deal with Kay Jewelers. I certainly don't want them "repairing" my ring anymore, and I will advise anyone and everyone not to purchase anything from Kay's. No one should have to deal with this during a time that is supposed to be amazing.

I have to…read morehave a paper that has my information to get my ring checked for my warranty to cover any stones lost, if I lose it I can't get another and they will not look it up on a computer. It is required I have it checked and cleaned every six months, June and December. If they are busy they do not want to check it. They refused to check it around Christmas and made me come back after the holidays. My husband dropped it off so when I went to pick it up I brought both my ID and his and the lady almost didn't let me have my ring. They are helpful during a purchase but a headache after.
