But he showed up a little after 8:00 a.m. and not only my unit but all my ductwork, return etc. I need a part but everything is under warranty. Just love absolute climate control.

We had a reliable & HONEST, Knowledgable HVAC person, unfortunately he passed away and we are now looking for a new, reliable, honest HVAC company. I read yelp reviews most of which were positive for this company. Later we find out the positive reviews were before the company was bought out 2 weeks prior to our appointment. Anyways, we called... the first person that answered said we couldn't have an appointment for a few weeks, but we needed someone to service our units ASAP so they agreed to send a person out the next day. This person they sent was nice, however the spring service provided was unlike any other spring A/C service I have ever had before and not in a good way. When asked if the coolant would be checked i was told "it seems good, it feels cold" every tech previously hooked up gauges and actually checked the pressure and added if needed, but here I was told the "boss man would need to come out for that" and oh yeah, I would also need to pay an additional service fee for that to happen (I understand and expect to pay for additional coolant to be added). I mentioned that I heard a noise similar to the noise the other unit made when the capacitor went out, I was also told I would need to pay an additional service fee for the "boss man to come out". To sum it up, I was expecting an HVAC professional to come service our units, checking the motor, wiring, capacitors, voltage, etc. as we have had in the past. What we ended up with is paying somebody $238 to squirt the units off with a hose and telling us we would have to pay more and schedule another appointment for a real HVAC professional to come out. Buyer Beware!

Pick's Heating and Cooling…read moreis one of the worst, if not the absolute worst, heating and cooling businesses I have had the unfortunate displeasure to deal with. I have a home warranty through American Home Shield (AHS), another company that's among the worst of the worst in their scope of business, and they use Pick's for one of their contractors which forced me to deal with the unforgivable inept, rude and disrespectful behavior of this small business. They didn't only cause my tenant to suffer through some of the warmest days of this 2025 South Carolina summer, they caused me to lose weeks in income, wasted time and eventually lost the tenant, all because the owner/technician didn't bring a ladder to the job even though his wife was advised the day before that there wasn't a ladder at the house and she told me that she would tell her husband to take one with him. He blamed me for his failure and then refused to return to do his job which put me in a time wasting loop through (AHS) which kept dispatching this incompetent business and technician which refused to do the work thereby extending the time it took to get the job completed which turned out to be nothing but a wire that had pulled loose from the thermostat. Yes, I don't understand why he needed the ladder either. I've been a real estate investor since 1993, have completed over 4000 transactions in 38 states and done more rehabs and had more rentals than I can count and I have never dealt with such a poor heating and cooling company as Pick's has proved themselves to be and I have experienced more than my fair share of bad ones but Pick's wins. Pick's says they've been in business since 1964 however their LLC was created on 7/7/2015 so Pick's Heating and Cooling, as a current business, hasn't been in business for 61 years as they boast about online. They may have done business prior to their current business but Pick's Heating and Cooling is only 10 years old, not 61. Based on their reported company address, they run their business out of their home in Greer and don't have an actual office and work facilities as most reputable heating and air businesses work out of which says a lot about a 10 year old business that boasts about being 61 years old. I'm pursuing a lawsuit against Pick's as well as AHS and will update this review once an outcome has been achieved.

They were supposed come back and install a control board i have called 3 times to figure out when it will come in and get an update on the situation and no one has gotten back to me.
