Dr Rushton Miller has been my primary physician for the past 8 years. She always answers my questions and is willing to give referrals as needed. She responds quickly to questions and always gets lab comments out quickly. I have followed her to three locations with Sutter. All physicians in Santa Rosa are over worked and very busy. I know it takes awhile to get an appointment so I book early. She also does video visits and those have been great for medication renewals. I appreciate Dr Rushton Millers hard work and dedication to my care. read more

I use MyHealthOnline and can often get advice and answers from her within a day without needing an appointment. Dr. Rushton-Miller was my Dr. About a year ago. She did my yearly PAP and misdiagnosed me with an STD!! Traumatized, horrified, I cried and cried. Not understanding and try to see if this was a treatabel problem. I can't even explain what this did to me emotionally. I have just recently seen a new Dr. And new OBGYN and come to find I absolutely, 100% do NOT have any STD! I don't even know how this woman still has her license. read more

My Doctor for many years has retired and I was referred by Sutter to see Dr. Rushton - Miller as a new patient. I called and was told she was booked out for 5 weeks!! I said to to go ahead and make the appointment and I will just have to wait. 1 week before my appointment her staff calls and says that she will not be available for the appointment...!!! So I waited one full month only to be told she is not available, but we can reschedule and it will be another "4 weeks or so". I explained my concern to her staff that I need to be seen. I have seen many doctors in the Sutter practice and this was the worst experience I've ever had. Upon arrival, I was told I needed to take a drug test and that this was "standard practice." I refused the test and was shocked at the fact they asked me to take one, considering this was a first appointment. When I met Dr. Rushton-Miller, I was told that in order for her to re-fill my current prescription I have been taking for many years, I had to consent to a drug test every time I needed a re-fill. This was absolutely unnecessary! Dr. Rushton-Miller made me feel foolish for questioning her methods. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. read more

I left many messages for Dr. Rushton-Miller and the Director. Thankfully the Director finally called me back. He was very nice and reasonable. He removed the charges for the unnecessary tests that were performed. I now feel I have a resolution. However, it would have been nice if the doctor who ordered these tests called me back and was accountable. read more

Dr. Rushton Miller was my doctor for two years. Every appointment, she seemed tired and annoyed and seemed to begrudge me asking questions. At the time, Sutter had a policy that doctors could mark whether or not they gave extra care and charge a fee of $170 if she provided extra care. I was billed this multiple times even though she was doing simple things like telling me to take a hot shower for a dislocated shoulder or answer basic health questions. When I would call to contest with Sutter, they insisted that the doctor said she provided extra care. After two years of telling her I had abdominal pain and her telling me it was probably constipation and refusing to send me for an ultrasound, I got a new doctor who immediately sent me for an ultrasound and helped diagnose the condition I have now been able to start treating. Dr. Rushton Miller made me feel completely unheard. Maybe she's the perfect doctor for others, I won't assume everyone has the same needs or has had the same experience, but I was at my unhealthiest and felt the least empowered I ever have in a medical setting with her as my doctor. read more

Had my first appointment with Dr. Rushton Miller and it went so smooth! I have had Kaiser my entire life so I was super anxious about my appointment. I had to make an appointment for something pretty uncomfortable to talk about but the gal on the phone was super professional and nice! When I checked both girls at the front as well as the MA where so sweet and welcoming! Dr.Rushton Miller was great and I really felt like we went over everything while I was there, I feel well taken care of! I just had my first appointment with Dr. Rushton-Miller last week and it was an absolutely terrible experience. My first encounter was with the extremely unfriendly medical assistant. She didn't greet me or even look up & attempt to make any eye contact. Then, my appointment got much worse when I met Dr. Rushton-Miller. She seemed just as cold and indifferent as her medical assistant. She did not listen to any of my concerns or questions I had when she switched a prescription I was currently taking. She made me feel foolish and kept insisting; there are definitely no side effects to be concerned with regarding this new medication she was going to prescribe...Actually, the pharmacist was far more informative & knowledgeable about the side effects of the new medication; then was this physician. I would not have even considered finding a new doctor, but my current Sutter doctor was moving to Kaiser. I had established such a wonderful relationship with my previous Sutter physician. I trusted her and had been going to her for almost eight years, so this insensitive treatment at Dr. Rushton-Miller's office seemed so out of character for a doctor's office. I would not recommend this medical office to anyone & I have no intention of returning there. read more

I've never met Dr. Rushton-Miller and its not for lack of trying. My doctor retired in November and recommended her or I never would have bothered. Her office staff is rude, dismissive and disrespectful. I tried to email in an appointment from November through January since I was out of the country with no response. When I called in February when I got back her earliest appointment was March 26th. When I tried to get in to see her earlier I was accused of not calling in for an appointment soon enough! After quite a bit of time trying to explain that all my medication needed refill authorization they finally "let" me see a nurse practitioner. I recently called requesting a refill of one of my meds a full week before it was expiring - and received NO return calls or follow up, I had to call everyday. When I finally got an answer, the staff told me that since Dr. Miller had never seen me she would not refill it. When I tried to explain that I had an appointment scheduled I was accused of trying to avoid seeing the doctor. When I told them I'd already seen the nurse practitioner, they put another message in that went unanswered. The message I got back this time was that she would need to refer me to a Pain Management specialist. This answer tells me that she either didn't READ the original request for a refill (originally denied because she hadn't seen me) or that her office didn't properly communicate with her. I find I have to keep repeating myself, that the staff is either not listening or not taking notes or not reading my chart - or all of the above! They take an average of 15-20 rings to answer the phone, then they try to rush me off the phone. They all seem "put out" to have to deal with patients at all. One of the medical assistants (not even HER medical assistant) spoke to me rudely and condescendingly and then hung up on me when I asked a question. When I called back she refused to come to the phone. When I asked to speak with an office manager I was not put through. I feel more like I'm trying to make an appointment to have my tires rotated than for a medical need. read more
