I just recently decided to work with Jim Adler & Associates, the worst decision ever. Communication is poor, and Customer Service is the worst for an Attorney. The Staff never returns calls, and you can't get a phone call answered for your Life. These two Old men need to stop practicing law and practice how to treat people who depend on them to help them. Extremely Unprofessional and Negligent. I hired this firm after a serious car accident caused by a drunk driver on September 9, 2025, and their handling of my case has been beyond unacceptable. There has been no real communication, no accountability, and no support from the attorneys or staff. I have had to do more follow-up myself than they ever did. Despite informing them that the at-fault driver may have left a bar, there was no meaningful investigation or effort to secure evidence. I even had to pay out of pocket for my own police report--a basic step any competent firm should handle. Over the last two months, they've sent me to multiple specialists but offered no reimbursement or assistance for over $500 in transportation costs. When I raised the issue, I was told, "We cannot guarantee you will be reimbursed." That level of indifference toward a client recovering from serious injuries is completely unacceptable. Even one of the specialists I saw commented that I should find a new attorney, which says everything about how poorly this firm operates. Their lack of professionalism, communication, and client care has caused additional stress during an already traumatic time. Do not use this law firm. In July of 24' I was rear-ended at a dead stop while at a red light, went to the hospital, suffered a concussion and also had severe damage to the back of my car. This would appear to be and easy open and shut case, but with Jim Adler, I was strung along with a different person handling my case every couple months only to be told after 19 months that I would be better compensated if they released the case back to me and I went thru the other drivers insurance myself. Upon hearing this I was outraged and never given any indication as to why, what, where, and how in tf I was rear ended at a red light, suffered a concussion, and you couldn't get any compensation after 19 months of leading me on!!! It gets worse, when I last spoke with Jim Adler, they made it seem like all I had to do was called said insurance, give them the claim #, and I would be compensated $3,600!! Still enraged, I was like whatever, at least it's something, only to call Progressive and be told they weren't giving me a dime!!! Still baffled, and furious at this point I have called Jim Adler NUMEROUS times and they have yet to return my call. There is nothing more negligent than someone rear ending you while you were at a dead stop at a red light, however after 19 months of using Jim Adler they got me no compensation whatsoever!!! They lied to me, and have yet to return my call and tell me why they led me to believe something to be untrue when it comes to the 3600...My advice--use another law firm!!! read more

Adler & Associates called my cell phone about a matter unrelated to me. When I called them to tell them they had the wrong party and complain about harassment they hung up. It is clear they do not do any research. If they did they would not have called me. I am guessing this firm is largely engaged in ambulance chasing because surely they were taught proper investigation techniques in law school. If the calls continue I will file a complaint with the State of Oregon and the Oregon State Bar. read more

So I researched on my own and find this technicality required some work from them which they were not interested in doing. The insurance company have been ready and waiting to hear from the reps here and Atty Garrett M. This office nor its representatives have responded to any of their letters or emails. Karina Jurado was my case manager and would react very cold towards any concerns that I would bring up to her nor would she answer my phone calls/emails. I called Jim Adler's office to get a free consultation and they told me no money would be owed unless they win, then they would get 35% of the settlement and I could cancel at anytime. I told them I was only looking at $2400 from my car being totalled and I wasn't really hurt. They said they could still take my case and then sent me a contract via text. I signed it and then 2 1/2 hours later I called them and texted them that I wanted to cancel. They said they would see if they could release my contract and if so I would get it in the mail in about a week. I was shocked since their words didn't match what they told me in our earlier conversation that I could cancel at anytime. Even more shocked when I received a certified letter 2 weeks letter stating I owed them according to the contingency contract I signed. The letter stated even if I didn't use them I would owe them 35% of the gross amount received in a settlement in the event there is a settlement without a lawsuit or 40% if there was a lawsuit. Unfortunately, Adler farms his work out to hundreds of attorneys. Some have effectively represented others, but we have received absolutely nothing but the reassignment of different attorneys under Adler's name because they are "leaving the firm".... personally, these commission paid attorneys are not working for the best interests of their clients. I'd recommend finding a firm directly outside of Adler's office. A smaller firm will focus on the client's needs. If miracles happen with Adler's office, I will update my review. But after 15 months, no obvious rehabilitation to my injuries that were successful, and poor communication from the firm, I see this as a bad decision. Definitely not worth me building my own case for them to represent me if I am not the litigating official myself. Does not make sense, in my opinion. read more

My first case manager never returned my calls or emails. After pestering them enough I was told I had a new case manager, Nettie. So far she has at least answered my questions and somewhat walked me through the process. We will see how this plays out and if they take care of us, their clients. Once you sign all their paperwork, which comes right away, you must continue with this firm or they will bill you. They lied and deceived me. Now they refuse to release my case. I told them I was injured in a semi truck collusion and that I have just recently filed a lawsuit. Would they take it over, and they said yes we want your case. It got sent to Dallas. Dallas did not want the lawsuit because they claim I already had an attorney working on it, which is not the case. I told them no. They are the only attorney. They said ok. We will then most likely transfer it over to our litigating department. She lied and deceived me. She requested to Nadler's office staff that they do not want to handle the lawsuit and they want it released. She told me one thing and the office staff of Nadler something differently. Then they said you filed a lawsuit so we do not want it. So that is fine, but they refuse to release my case. They have held on to it for a while and they tell me they will get to it when they get to it. I have called many times, sent emails and voice messages. Nadler office staff said for me to call them to have it released, but they refuse. They are taking me hostage. Today I begged them to release it so I can seek treatment but they refuse. My case took 25 months to close. There was no communication what so ever between my lawyer and my self. It took me having to call the office several times and leaving many messages to even get a call or email back. The only time the lawyer himself called back was after I left a voice mail to the supervisor. If you are a small fish they don't even look at you. They send you to doctors of there own choice which never helped me. I was switched to 3 different case managers and the only way I ever knew I had a new one was to call the front office. After receiving my check on the 12th of January, they posted the date for the 18th. So I still have to wait 6 days to get my money. My Son and i was in a head on collision the day before Thanksgiving after we made dressing for Thanksgiving. we loaded up about 6pm and set off and 10 minutes later, we are fighting for our lives. We we're traveling 60mph and enter a intersection and the next thing someone is trying to beat the light didn't see us and entered our lane colliding head on. They called in Care flight for us both and landed 2 helicopters next to us as we we're seriously injured I suffered a broken sternum and all my ribs on my right side and my right foot was broken and crushed, my heel was shattered, and bones had to be replaced screws added and almost 2yrs later i can't work yet because my foot and leg swell up and im in pain for a good while afterwards . My sons seatbelt tore both of his intestines, and was bleeding internally and almost died and he was taken to emergency surgery and they removed his colon. Nobody in our family knew what happened until 4 am. We were in bad shape when we contacted Jim Adler and was lied to from the start. Not one time did anyone from this office come to meet us and see the condition we was in or take pictures of the car or anything ,because the other party admitted fault and they was going to get the max allowed for both of us and then really the only work was done by the poor lady calling and asking can you take less because there isn't enough to pay everyone..That's because the hospital bill for us both was almost $500,000 alone and not including having to see other doctors or the care flight which was $50,000 each, what was available was $260,000 the man told us both that it would be bad business for the Attorney to make more money than the client. But I guessed that all changed when they realized it wasn't going to be a big money pay off, I can imagine how differently I would be treated if there was more money to be earned. Well let me tell you we received $14,000 less than they did. They called every person that was getting money from us to take less money for their services. And they were the ones who saved our lives only so they could make $14,000 more than each of us.best example is hospital bill.$250,000 for 1 of us they agreed to settle for $15,000. Jim Adler $45,000 agreed to settle for $43,200.i would not recommend any one to call the hammer he's hammering you and me.Funny thing is he never even shook my hand or introduced himself to me because he never bothered to come see us, we was told don't worry about your bills we will talk with them and when we kept getting calls for careflight,hospital,etc. Then they said you should call and let them know your situation.. My 1st and worse lawyer experience. I'm disabled from the accident, in and out of the Dr.office, psychical therapy you name it. This law firm well tell you anything to get you to sign with them and then leave you to rot. After we hired them on it was months later I would call and leave message after message and to only get no response from them. Until I finally blew up and left a pretty serious voicemail explaining to them that we are in completely in the dark, don't know anything of what's going on. I called and got the police report and paid for it and sent copies to the insurance company. Plus had to correct the police report because they had us in the wrong vehicle. So that was another thing they didn't have to do. No communication from them and had to go through multiple people just to get a hold of somebody that knew anything about my case. I hired them as soon as I had my accident April of 2022 and they assigned someone to work my case and the lady WENT ON VACATION before getting my police report from the station and kept saying I wasn't able to go get it and saying she was sending her assistant to get it yet it but when I called the station , they inform me that nobody has been there to get it so it was never got picked up in the time it was supposed to.
