We bought a truck from Galaxy Motors and had nothing but problem after problem with the truck. They installed remote key entry because the driver side door lock is broken and that only worked for a week. They had the company come out and reset the remote key and it stopped working 24 hours later. Had tire issues that required us to take the truck into the shop 3 times before the loan even went through. Three payments into the truck, we had to take it into the shop because it started shaking real bad when you accelerated over 55 mph. At the direction of Jody's Galaxy Motors employee, Jose, took the truck to Jody's auto repair on Q St (they claim these two businesses are owned by two different guys named Jody) and was told the truck has over $3000 in electrical issues (reason for remote key entry not working). $3000 is conveniently just under the blue book value of the truck. It should also be noted that we tried to immediately get them to swap us out of the truck into something more reliable before making the first payment because we knew within the first month there were a lot of problems and they wouldn't do it. Now 3 payments into the truck turns out there is over $3000 in electrical problems and they are not willing to do anything to make it right. I am taking the truck to a certified mechanic who has no interest in the matter to have the repairs estimated.

It seemed like it might be a starter problem, so we were going to have it towed to our mechanic. Shane arrived, and he was really nice, even though he had to wait a few minutes before I arrived to meet him. He had already located our car, and was getting it positioned to tow to the mechanic. When he got in the car though, he noticed that in his opinion, it may have been a weak battery instead of a bad starter. He asked if we wanted to try to jump it, and I said sure. He put his battery pack on it, and it started right up! He saved us a bill at the mechanic, he saved himself a trip this evening, and he was very helpful in providing suggestions for how to deal with the problem in the future. I am very grateful for his professionalism, and I hope that if I ever have to use a tow service again, that I can use Tomcat Towing.

The other shop gave me a pretty expensive quote, so I thought I'd get a second opinion. I decided to reach out to about 10 local companies on Facebook and Cody at Roaming Wrench was the first and only person to get back to me that day. He was amazing to work with and he checked the other shop's work and found that they had quoted me on service that wasn't necessary. The price he gave me was far more reasonable and he ordered the parts right away. Later, the sway bar linkage that was installed unfortunately failed, but Roaming Wrench stood by their work and I was able to get it fixed under their labor and parts warranty for no charge. This was a quick fix, and I got my car back the same day. Very honest and quick to respond to questions or concerns.
