I don't know of any local or surrounding areas where you will find a family owned bakery that makes quality donuts for that fawsome price. Everything else they make is fantastical Including the friendly servers. Of yeah I'd you need to order any birthday wedding or holiday cakes... You will love their buttercream frosting. It's not too sweet like buttercream frosting can often times be. It's sweet yes but not overwhelmingly so if you know what I mean. There's so much yum in every bite. If you love puff pastries, I highly recommend the cream filled lobster claws. Make a note that they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays only. I only say no bc they never have baked goods in their cases. Their cakes were always good but they never have enough. You go in for cupcakes and they never even have them. I was told before that I'd need to call 2 weeks ahead for a birthday cake?!? No way that's just dumb. Called on a late Sunday morning- I needed a birthday cake that day. I wanted a rum cake. She said they had no more cakes. I was disappointed and hung up. Then she called back and said she could do a cake. I gave her creative license on the decoration and asked for, "Happy 80th Birthday Dad" to be on the cake. She told me the price and said it would be vanilla. I was bummed to have plain vanilla but happy to get a cake. She said to pick up at 3pm; they close at 4pm (Yelp had 5pm; so glad she clarified that). There was a steady stream of customers in and out. Two people were serving the customers. A third came out and began offering to help the other guy waiting, not me who was there first. Oh well. I don't think anyone can walk into bakery and only buy what they came for can they?! I picked up a chocolate eclair and a blueberry pie too. The eclair was delicious. So rich and creamy I could only eat half on my drive back. The other half my mother ate later and loved. The blueberry pie was good. The cake was heavy. Decoration cute. After we blew out the candles and cut into it...it was a rum cake!! And awesome!!! It had the chocolate pudding layer and the cherry layer. The cake part was tasty with rum deliciousness!!! We were so happy! I would get this rum cake again. read more

I rarely post reviews but the customer service I received Thursday before Memorial was exceptiona! I called last minute for a birthday cake (for the next day) and was told in a very nice way they were done baking for the day. It was late in the day and I was totally fine and said how sorry I was to call so late and hope they had a great weekend. Without leaving my name or number 15 minutes later Bianca called me and asked if I still needed a cake! I said I did and she took my order and was very courteous, nice and very helpful! Every one who works there is so nice and always have smiles on their faces no matter how busy they are or what time of day. This is incredibly refreshing as it seems so many places you go people act as if they just do not want to be there and really don't want you the customer there! Best Cheesecake I have had since I was a kid and my granny and my mom made them. I stopped in on a whim! I am from CA and I was visiting my family. I was in line when a very friendly woman asked what I was getting and I told her I was probably getting a cannoli but wasn't sure. She promptly informed me that the cheesecake is the way to go and anytime someone feels bad she gets them one of the cheesecakes. BEST SUGGESTION EVER! I wish I knew her name so I could thank her! I also got the apricot cookies which were soooo good! So nice to be reminded what real baking tastes like. Literally the BEST bakery I have found since moving to NJ. I went to Walmart to get a 2 tier fondant cake and was referred to Jim's. I walked in, greeted right away, took my order and explained I had to email my photos for reference. When getting home I sent the photos via email and got a reply right away. Very good small local bakery. Good flavors & textures on the 3 out of 5 items I bought & have tried thus far. Cookies are light, crisp & tasty. Donuts are light & generously filled with tasty custard or jelly. Chocolate toppings or powdered sugar have good fresh flavors. On a Friday afternoon not all shelves were filled up but it had a steady set of people picking up specialty cakes and/or other baked goods. They prefer an eight dollar minimum on credit/debit cards (and I met that criteria) but I think they wouldn't turn anybody away if you couldn't make it. Items weren't ridiculously expensive either. Service was prompt & Friendly. Place is clean & has decent parking. It's a take out bakery. I'm glad to support our local businesses. I believe they have a second location in Malaga that I will visit since it's that much closer to my home. read more

Someone sent a platter of Jim's Italian cookies and pastries to work the other day and they were BANGIN! I've had their cakes before and been meh about them, but oh boy! Ok so show me another pic anywhere that has pizza and bakery items in the same case. Can't be done. Was in Vineland NJ for work and researched best pizza. Jim Main's Bakery and Pizza was on the list and definitely said HUH? Other Yelpers said very good pizza so had to give it a go. Others from Vineland kept showing up for bakery items but I am there for pizza. Went for lunch and unfortunately did not get her name behind counter but she seemed like the owner (redhead) and was so nice and friendly they definitely get a plus for that. On the other hand all the other female workers seemed a bit sour faced and non-friendly so not sure why that was but thankfully the owner was the one I interacted with. There were a few plain slices left of pie and an entire margherita (?) sicilian but just wanted the regular slices. She went back to warm then but before she came out, a brand new piping hot Sicilian pie came out and looked so good. I asked if I could swap a regular for a Sicilian and she said sure, they cost the same ($2). There are only two small tables with two chairs each so I was lucky one was empty. I have to say, they were delicious. Reminded me of NY style with not only texture but sauce and flavor. You want pies to have a good amount of sauce cause that is what gives pizza added flavor and these slices had a good amount of sauce, ooey gooey cheese, and soft chewy texture. Even when she reheated my plain slice it was more soft then crispy. I am a pizza folder, meaning I fold my plain slice in half, and when eating it felt like I was back at Sals in Mamaroneck NY or Sophias in Harrison NY. Not exactly the same or as good but very good. The Sicilian also had good flavor and ooey gooey cheese. I was very surprised and happy at how good they were and told the owner. She said her brother had a pizza place in NY so that all made sense. Only sad thing is they are so far from where I live. As a side, note even though I did not get any bakery items, they did look very good. I regret not trying the doughnuts. read more

I've been to this bakery a lot of times and it's always pretty good. Sometimes they don't have what I'm looking for, but I can also only go towards the end of the day, so that is probably why. I usually just pick something else and it's fine. They have standard bakery fare, such as donuts, brownies, cookies, etc., but also have pizza and garlic knots. My wife and son love the knots and I like the pizza, and usually get a slice whenever I go. The bakery items are good, too, and there are cakes available as well. It's a small place, but like some other small places, it's worth going to. They have limited days and hours, so definitely check in advance. read more

I have ordered from small 12" cakes to huge wedding cakes that serve 300. Stacy is so nice and if you would like to place a special order, ask when their less busier times are so she can give you her undivided attention. First off, I'm an out-of-towner. I visited Vineland for the first time in August 2010. Went to Jim Main's Bakery because I was told they had the best stromboli around. But I took one look at the neapolitan pizza next to the stromboli and decided I had to have some of that too. I was in Jersey for less than week. And I found the opportunity to go back a second time to Jim Main's, because that pizza was so great, I wanted to make sure it wasn't luck. That's when I found out they make their amazing sauce four times a day. I say, skip the cheese and sprinkle on your own at home so you can savor that garlic, the bits of Italian greens, and that terrific crust. The stromboli was really good too... This second visit, I decided to buy some bakery goods too, and I was hardly disappointed. A wide variety of muffins, cookies, pies, and cakes. Too many choices to try them all in the short time I had in town. But I will place this joint at the top of my list for when I return. Parking is far from ideal, but there's room for all the customers. This is a real bakery, not a restaurant, so be prepared to only take out. But it's worth it! read more

We recently ordered a very custom and specialized 80th birthday cake for our Father. Well, let me tell you, it was not only the best tasting cake we have ever had, but the artwork was beyond compare!! The time it took to complete this masterpiece was beyond belief and the outcome was over- the- top extraordinary!! It was a garden/ farm scene with many plants, vegetables and a John Deere tractor that looked like a scene right out from an Italian Farm!!
