My goto spot in Statesboro when anyone comes to visit…read more OGreat food expertly prepared, a luscious cocktail menu, desserts that are off the charts, pleasant and helpful staff, and a tremendous bonus to find out that they locally source as many items and ingredients as possible.

We promptly got sat by the lovely staff working. We sat outside, I ordered an Aperol spritz and my husband got a Bloody Mary. All of our drinks were delicious, reasonably priced. The Bloody Mary wasn't spicy (although a table next to us was complaining it was...), and the Hugo spritz was SO refreshing! They for the fresh mint from their herbs out front! Only complaint was we prefer our espresso martinis to be mostly espresso heavy, and this one was more cream heavy. We ordered the Brussels, country breakfast (subbed cheese grits instead of pancakes because we're gluten free) and got a side of fresh fruit. It was so much food. We didn't finish it all! The grits were nicely seasoned and cheesy. Brussels were super crispy and not drenched in grease or sauce. Eggs were nice and salty, potatoes were fried nicely. Everything was great. We would love to come back for lunch or dinner - especially happy hour. It wasn't too loud and we felt there was plenty of seating.

The change to rip everything out, start anew, and build from the ground up appears to have worked miracles because the meals we have purchased have been way above our expectations. The sandwiches were delicious in every way: excellent locally-sourced meats, fresh hoagie buns instead of soggy buns as are served so many places. Another restauirant had opened here over a year ago, and they were so bad that im not sure most people notice when they disappeard. From what ive eaten so far, im thinking ill eat here aften enough, and tell my friends, that they should keep busy, and who knows, maybe even expand next door. You need to come check the Round About out.

The restaurant interior is a bit vintage - days gone by and industrial. I popped in at lunchtime to get a quick bite and service was just that - quick! They recommended the popular chicken salad and it was very good. It is sweet leaning thanks to the Craisins and chunks of apples. While the apples also give this a wonderful crunch so does the celery and nuts. It was garnished with fresh tomatoes and served atop a piece of leafy green lettuce - lovely! I can certainly see this spot being the gathering place of a local sports/little league team after an event!

Sometimes off and slow but they generally do their best. They don't seem to understand extra bold coffee and I know we've had it a few times before but not anymore even if we pay for extra bold. The food here has potential, but the service completely ruined our first experience…read more I believe our server was Ava although she never properly introduced herself she was inattentive didn't seem very knowledgeable, and most importantly avoided our table after our food was delivered. When we asked about certain items on the menu, she would say she wouldn't recommend them which makes you almost not even wanna eat at the restaurant. I ordered eggs fried hard with no runny yolk, but they still came out with the yolk. Still running instead of checking on us she disappeared. We received no drink refills. No follow up whatsoever. I eventually had to get up. Take my food to the counter myself and ask someone else to fix the issue even after she never came back to see if everything was OK. The frustrating part is that the restaurant was only about a third floor. There was no reason for such a complete lack of attention. Seeing staff focused on rolling silverware, checking phones, while customers were being ignored made the experience even worse. The pancakes and bacon were excellent, but the grits were very clumpy and inconsistent. I rate the food seven out of 10. Our bill is nearly $100 and they were plenty opportunities to turn this into the first experience unfortunately service made us decide to take our business elsewhere and we definitely wanted to order so many more items seeing that this is only our first time here. Bottom line, the food is worth trying, but I recommend takeout over dine in great food can't make it for poor customer service.
