Nedeed an oil change ASAP. They did ok job but the price was too high. If you have more time to think, it's better to look around

As a young woman, I would not recommend this shop. While they did a good/fine job, they charged me ~$140 for an oil change. It is upsetting to feel taken advantage of, and I will be looking for service elsewhere. read more

Wife and I have been servicing our cars here for several years, but probably going elsewhere now. They've been adding unapproved little charges to our last few visits, like an $8 charge for a gallon of windshield washer fluid! I have my own fluid in my garage for $2/gallon, and I never asked them to "top off" my fluid. If you want to top-off as a courtesy go ahead, but don't charge me for something you didn't get permission to do. ALSO, they just instituted a 3.5% "SURCHARGE" for using a credit card, and I was NOT INFORMED of this charge. I later discovered the charge of almost $10 on the credit card slip (not on the service record that breaks out all charges). So I spend almost $300 on one visit (which was high for what I had done), and got charged almost 20 bucks extra between the washer fluid and the new credit card surcharge. This kind of nickel & diming is making me look for a new mechanic. Don't understand why a business would risk losing a customer that spends about $1000/year just to squeeze a couple extra bucks out of us. read more

Terrible Terrible Terrible!!! My experience was disgusting. They overcharged me for a simple flat tire spare change. I had my vehicle towed to the lot and they charged me $80 Dollars for a simple tire change. They also removed work items out of the van when they changed my spare and didnt replace them. I would NEVER recommend them to ANYONE!!! read more

I just needed yearly inspection, but I had to wait while it was done. Everyone at the station was friendly. The service was fast and efficient, with no attempt to sell me anything I didn't need. And there was a comfortable place to wait. If anything every goes wrong with my car, I'll go back. read more

Went to Jim's Berwyn Sunoco on the advice of a friend to get a second opinion regarding work required to pass PA State Inspection. Some of my initial positive impressions related to how clean and orderly the service station, waiting area, repair shop, and restroom were; and to the landscaping which added an extra touch. As I had to wait, I really appreciated the K-cup coffee and Wi-Fi access, along with great conversations with Mark at the desk. I had the great pleasure of working with Nick, the technician, who looked over the car and informed me the required labor and parts would be much less than what I was previously quoted--as I had suspected. Accordingly, I approved the work, and Nick completed the repair and provided the inspection stickers in a very timely manner. My experience with Jim's Berwyn Sunoco was superb. Nick is very professional and informative, and he made me feel very confident he possesses excellent technical skills. Further assurance is provided by knowing that Jim's is a member of the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating, and that Jim's has received a grade of A by members of Angie's list. I will be patronizing Jim's for all my auto repair needs, and I will be referring family, friends, and colleagues to Jim's as well. read more

I met my mechanic Jack at our local dog park where we both walk our dogs. My friend Hugh also knows Jack, and recommended that I take my car to Jim's Sunoco station in Devon. Jack is a tremendous mechanic who takes great care of my car, and always make sure it is safe for me to drive. At at the front desk is Ed who is always very welcoming and willing to do little jobs for me like checking my tire pressure. I love this Sunoco station and I would highly recommend it to all. read more

Outstanding experience with Bill, Jack and the rest of the crew time and again. Great problem solvers, prompt service, willing to discuss a range of options when cost is a factor. On a few occasions over the years, a first repair turns out not to resolve a problem, and they have always been eager to probe further and get the problem fixed ... only charging for the final repair when they realize the first try was a miss. We broke down on the turnpike. Called this joint and they had a towing service out there in 40 minutes. We get there, they tell us the issue. They fixed it in little over an hour at a reasonable price and we were on our way. Good attitude and friendly. Good place. Definately recommend. read more

Got a nail in my tire and everywhere else was closed or too busy. Called here and even though they had 1 person, he fixed my tire. Really really saved me the stress of a flat tire. I highly recommend them. Plus they have some low prices for it being in the mainline. read more

Was making a trip from New Jersey to Lancaster Pennsylvania. Unfortunately broke down right off of the Pennsylvania Turnpike and needed to be towed immediately. Called jim's and sure enough a tow truck was out within a half hour. Took me right over to Jim's where they proceeded to fix my truck and get me up and running within an hour and a half later. I needed to get back on the road as soon as possible, and they definitely did that. All the mechanics there and know what they're talking about, and are extremely personable and nice. I guess it's because I'm used to everything in New Jersey being so fast-paced and people being nasty, but all of these guys are really awesome and treated us so great, and To their word of getting us on the road ASAP. I probably will never see them again as I don't go to Lancaster as often as I used to, but if you are ever in the area or even live near there, they must be the best in town.
