More often than not the groomer calls in sick or something else happens and they have to cancel or reschedule. Apparently they only hire one groomer (its what the employees told us) and she's part time so if she doesn't feel like coming to work that day everything gets messed up. We schedule these appointments weeks in advance to even get on the schedule. Just today they texted and canceled our dogs grooming appointment 10 minutes before we were supposed to arrive. (We live in Overton). How frustrating! Is it poor management? Well I guess. So shame on you! I hardly ever leave bad reviews but today Petsense got one. Petsense do you know how often I write negative stuff on reviews? WOW!!!!

First off, she tells me there is no such thing as a puppy cut and groomers don't know what that is. I'm looking at her thinking, I have had small dogs since the 1980's, before she was even born, so yes there is. Then she tells me she probably can't do the cut because it's his first time. One hour l get a call, saying she could not do what I wanted because he was too timid. I go to pick him up and he looks the same. I say, he always going be this way until he gets used to it. The next time will be the same. She tells me to get an electric toothbrush and run it over him so he can get used to the noise. What? What kind of unprofessional advice was this? I should have not left him, because of my conversation with her before. She wasn't even going to try. And had the nerve to give me a bill for $42. Edgar, the Manager was great! Who said the groomer was new. I could tell. But it was the know-it-all attitude she had, that got me, and misinformation she gave. Pretty Paws is closed , so I try PetSmart. No thanks, I will find a local groomer. Teach your new groomers to always have an open mind. And get rid of a know it all attitude, especially when they are NEW GROOMERS.

went to this location for the first time to have my Maltese groomed…read more the haircut was "ok", not great and had to point out the nearly 1" length difference on one side of her face since it was evidently not obvious enough to the groomer. the bigger issue with this place was how completely filthy it was. I saw dogs beng groomed one after the other and not one of the employees swept the fur off the floors or even the individual grooming station tables, including in between their breaks. i had black fur all over me when I left and my dog is a non shedding Maltese with pure white hair, not fur. she was covered in the dog hair from other dogs with who knows what they could possibly have. i bathed her the moment I got home and had to fix the uneven parts of her head and face. will not go back.

Management neglect's the birds of proper perches, enrichment and environment. When I asked…read morerespectfully if I could purchase a perch for the Turquoise Green Cheek Conure I was told I was not allowed to. When I asked if it could be approved by management to buy a new perch for the bird, it was refused and I was told I could not. This is a form of abuse/neglect. This is comparable to being put in a room without a bed and being asked to hang from the side of the wall by one finger to sleep. As an establishment that is responsible for teaching people how to properly care for animals, this is disappointing and inhumane. It is not okay. Birds require research to properly provide for and not doing so is neglect. Enforcement has been contacted to look into this establishment and the neglect/abuse at hand, as to this being only one area that needed work. As a bird owner/rescuer from establishments such as this, you can see that both the conure on the left and cockatiel do not have the proper perches or the environment they need to be comfortable in a cage all day everyday. To anyone who understands birds needs please help me in being the voice of these birds that are not able to for themselves. This is not okay.
