Jim's Pharmacy was my neighborhood store growing up. I've always felt well-treated, there. Today, my mother went to buy me compression stockings after my knee replacement surgery. I was getting worried, because I threw away the ones the hospital gave me because I hated them, but I really needed something to keep me safe. They sent my mom back with a measuring tape and some questions, and picked out the perfect pair for me. I don't get the one star reviews on this site. I switched from pharmacies at Safeway and Rite-Aid and this pharmacy is heads above those prior pharmacies. With the number of people they serve, It's admirable how great their service is. I've never had a bad experience. In fact, every transaction has been exemplary. I have to think that the bad reviews were simply the result of people not dealing well with their emotions over health issues. Nothing else could explain it. read more

I drove all the way to the pharmacy and was told the medication was not there and to come the next day. when I went all the way back the next day I was told the medication was sent back because I did not pick it up the previous day. today I went to pick up a prescription again and they were closed. this was the last time I went there. The tech that works in pharmacy IS ALWAYS IN A HORRIBLE MOOD and I am witnessed myself in person her be extremely rude and act as she just doesn't have any time for the customer, but somehow she's able to weave her little Web throughout the entire Pharmacy. I won't mention her name here as I'll be saving that for the phone calls, I make next after 15 years of using Jim's pharmacy and never having an issue for no reason whatsoever I was asked to go use a different pharmacy today and actually they refused to fill my prescriptions. I got a phone call from the tech who is very rude on the phone so I asked to talk to a pharmacist. She put me on hold for 25 minutes long enough for me to arrive at the pharmacy and actually walk in while still being on hold. She had Hardy spread her cancer throughout the staff at the pharmacy and she always does telling them that I was rude on the phone, etc., etc. which is quite the opposite so the rest the Pharmacy employees were already informed by her that I was rude on the phone, etc., etc. which I absolutely positively was not but after trying to have a civil conversation with the pharmacist, he told me that I cannot use Jim's pharmacy told me to go somewhere else, even though it was a time sensitive medication that I needed, and he was aware of maybe they'll start paying attention to all the reviews they have that are mounting up WHATEVER IS TAKING PLACE AT JIM'S PHARMACY OVER THE COURSE OF THE LAST YEAR. IT'S NOT WORKING OBVIOUSLY. The worst interaction I've had in quite a while. First prescription didn't go through. What was it for you ask? A stand up walker. I fell and damaged my foot because I didn't get the walker. So they get the prescription. They call me tell me my insurance has been approved this kind they cover 100 0/0. This kind my insurance cover 80 0/0. I get there with a great deal of pain and they tell me they don't have a standing walker my insurance will cover. I was on the phone this same and very day and was told it's a go come pick it out. I was also supposed to get a knee scooter if the standup wasn't available. I asked about the knee scooter he said insurance won't cover both. But wait you said you didn't have the standup walker you said you had. But now you won't let me have the knee scooter because my insurance won't cover both. I feel like I have fallen into a bait a switch. I have shopped there twice so my never shopping there again is no big deal. But now I'm setting home with pain level 8 because they dropped the ball. And that is more important to me than trying them again because it may not bother them but it would be like I let myself down. read more

Jim's has been great for me. They get my meds and I go through the drive through and have been able to quickly pick them up. I will mention that one of the inside front counter people was rude, but everyone else I've dealt with was so nice and helpful. we schedule a Covid test 2week in advance and when we got there they didn't have test for us ,now my friends are stuck in Washington for 17 extra days cause no boats ,plain,or trains go to their island,if we had gotten test that was scheduled for my friend's they would have made their boat,and when pharmacist asked who we scheduled with we told her the name she took her name tag off immediately so obviously it was her and all she could say was sorry we will never ever recommend or use Jim's pharmacy again,especially if our life are dependent upon them,they don't care . I help take care of my elderly father who has heart issues and dementia. We switched to jims because they do pill packs and deliver. It went ok for a bit ( At least for him it's gone OK for a bit, but for me they've always been rude so I refuse to ever go back) but lately jims has dropped the ball so many times And either they don't have his med pack ready at the time I need his meds or they haven't put it together correctly and the medication is missing. The Pharmacy has called me a liar and called my dads hospice nurse a liar as well. We finally told them if they have a problem they can check their cameras then all of a sudden they changed their tune and went and got the medication they owed him. the thing is if I hadn't checked his med pack my dad Either would've een given the wrong medication or he would have gone without certain heart medication that he needs. And this hasn't just happened once this has happened for the last 2 years. I've been stuck with this kind of mess for far too long, it's incredible to me that they can continue to operate this way. check out their Google reviews jims Pharmacy is a bad joke. they're rude and apparently not fully competent in filling medication correctly. I have grown up in Port Angeles and my first Softball team was sponsored by Jims Pharmacy. They have the cutest little knick knacks and I get a lot of my xmas gift from there. They are always involved in some sort of donation program through our community. Pharmacy wise they have always taken care of me! Especially when I have had insurance problems and they know my medical issues and have given me a day or two of doses to ensure I don't run out until the insurance problem is fixed. I have never had such care and I will NEVER go anywhere else. They take care of people the best they can and will go above and beyond for those in sticky situations! read more

I have had better service in the past...timely, courteous, but recently have had to reorder automatic prescriptions, and when I asked why, the response on the phone was, "You should have known we were having trouble with our phone lines!" When asked how I would have known that, I was told "Our other clients knew!" The same person did not want to use my card they have on file for payment, but wanted me to pay the delivery person at the door. This rude, unprofessional behavior was quite distressing, and I have since changed to another pharmacy that understands the importance of customer service. read more

There is a girl that works there who has absolutely no customer service skills what so ever. She looks at you like you're stupid no matter what you say to her. Instead of helping, she just says to come back later or that she doesn't know what else to tell you. I called an RX in on a wed. Drove to town to pick it up on a Friday..she told me that it would be ready the following day, Saturday. I was unable to come back to town Saturday so I came into town monday...she then tells me that my insurance would not allow me to fill the RX. I asked her why she told me it would be ready if in fact it would not be...she cocked her head like a confused dog and says ...I don't know, call your Dr... What!? I will never use them again. William B. I have to depend upon my power chair for mobility. On three different occasions I have gone to Jim's Pharmacy for help in keeping my chair working and they have been great. Paul has come out to my house to make repairs because I could not go into Port Angeles without my chair, and he knows what he is doing. Also, Jim's Pharmacy has a much more flexible policy regarding the purchase of support stockings than any where else around. For those of us who are dependent upon medicines and equipment for our very mobility, Jim's Pharmacy is the best. I will never go to one of those chain stores... Jim's brought my mom's Diabetic supplies, and medicines. They have 24 hr / 365 day a year open or a Pharmacist on call. They have special Pharmacists, as well as Home Health Equipment, like Oxygen and Beds, wheelchairs. The Gift Dept is better than anyone has, with local gifts, foods, and fun stuff to buy. And they bill my insurance and also billed my mom's Hospital Bed to Medicare. Plus set it up. The delivery guys are so nice, as is everyone else. read more

This is the most unresponsive staff of any pharmacy in the olympic peninsula. Customers are treated at this pharmacy like dirt. Every time we have visited this place the service is horrible. Mainly from the home health staff. No please, thank you or welcomes are ever in the staff vocabulary. And worst of it all, no one takes ownership. When I have asked for a supervisor, I am passed to another nobody. I would and will take my business and dollars to any other business than Jim's. Very nice selection of very nice things. The staff are kind and helpful. Love it that they have imported chocolate and cookies! They have a vitamins program for kids under 12, get a free bottle of chewable (vegetarian! though without iron) vitamins. Love Jim's. read more

All I can say is if you have a loved one that's 90 years plus don't go there they are very unsympathetic and don't really care about emotions dealing with the sick and elderly, I'm serious. My father was suppose to get a prescription for his oxygen and in order for him to stay on it as he needed he paid almost 400 dollars out of pocket. They said you can get reimbursed if you get the prescription in to us . The doctor at the facility was not his doctor anymore and going to the new facility in Port Angeles he was in a wheel chair and very weak. Could not get to a doctor for a few weeks then we got the prescription after seeing his doctor and Jim's just stated yesterday sorry cant help you those were the exact words. The only star I will give is for the wide variety of supplies, however, I recently moved to Port Angeles after my husband passing in a car accident in September and I had no family left in Colorado as they had all relocated here over the last 7 years and for myself and young child I felt we needed family support during this difficult time. Unfortunately it took some time for us both to find new Doctors, and then after finally getting in to see one and getting our prescriptions we needed written I was unable to find one of my medications in stock in the full amount at ANY pharmacy in PA or Sequim I was referred to Jim's pharmacy as I was told they are one of the largest and busy pharmacies and they would most likely have the medication I needed. I called and confirmed they did in fact have it, I was excited because not only did they carry what I needed, but, they are locally owned which I prefer to a more corp pharmacy. I provided the tech at the counter with all the info to become a patient as well as my CO ID and my new WA insurance as I can not use my CO insurance in WA informing her that I had called and was assured that my medication was indeed in stock. I was then called up by a different tech who called meup and proceeded to tell me that my insurance would not cover my medication and I responded that I had checked and the medication would be covered and not only that but there was a posted list on the counter showing that it was indeed a covered medication with WA Medicaid which I had received upon moving here to cover us until my new insurance from my new job next month. After trying to understand why I was being told this after 1 I had already had Walgreens check as well as it was clearly posted on their counter that it was an approved medication with WA Medicaid or Provider One. I just received rude responses and was cut short with everything I tried to ask or say and finally I gave up and left.. I found a store with only a partial fill in Sequim and after it was filled the pharmacist looked at me and said " YOUR TOTAL CO-PAY IN ZERO DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS COVERED BY MY INSURANCE AS I SUSPECTED, I WAS LIED TO BY JIMS PHARMACY. I AM JUST UNSURE IF IT WAS OUT OF JUDGEMENT BECAUSE I TEMPORARILY HAVE WA MEDICAID (PROVIDER ONE) OR IF IT WAS BECAUSE THE TIME TO ENTER A NEW PATIENT PROFILE I WAS SO STUNNED AFTER I WAS AGAIN TOLD MY INSURANCE PAID FOR MY MEDICATION THAT I DIDNT SPEAK FOR A MOMENT. Jim's Pharmacy is by far the best pharmacy, gift shop, home health and medical supply store there is. Never in my life have I felt more like a family member by strangers than when I enter this store. The men and women that work at Jim's are caring, dedicated, and professional to the utmost extent. I trust every one of their pharmacists with mine and my children's lives. They know drugs and interactions better than any doctor I've ever met. Just tonight I called and spoke with Susie. My daughter is very sick, instead of calling her doctor, which takes anywhere from 45 minutes to a couple of hours to call me back, I called Jim's. Kelly answered the phone within 2 rings, I asked to speak with Susie and she was on the line within 30 seconds, and had all of my drug interaction questions answered within 3 minutes. She knew exactly what I was talking about, she never had to look anything up, she just knows. I am proud to be a customer of Jim's and will be for life.
