These reviews are pretty old. We have been using Jim's in Hastings for years and they are reliable, friendly and pick up the extra junk outside of our trash bin. They say they don't collect yard waste, so why would anyone try to sneak it in? read more

worst worst worst!!!! We just bought our home in Belding, for 4 weeks we waited for a extra bin. Stopped our service because we had trash on ground, I would of not had trash on ground had Jims dropped off bin!!! Rude!!! Don't call them for help they are not nice. They dont care that you just moved in and have boxes and you called them prior to even 1st pick up to address the issue. Called multiple times to get issue resolved to have Jims act like it was my fault!!!! Trash would not of been on ground had they dropped off 2nd bin. Only picked up our trash 2 times and wanted 57.00 for 2 more months when I had yet to get a BILL at all!!!! Said you have a family of 6 you can't have a 2nd bin or a 3rd??? why would it matter either way along as I pay my bill???? Still don't get it!!! DON'T USE THEM!!! read more

We have had Jims for 17 yr and ghey are great. They take light yard clippings to an old toilet we needed to get rid of during remodel. Good price too. read more

When my previous trash service suddenly changed the location of where the trash can was to be placed (100 yards from my home), Jim's came to my rescue and actually delivered a trash bin on the 4th of July so my renters would not be scared away by a lack of service. They are very responsive and made a huge impression when I established service with them. read more

The one star is for the Office staff for their lack of communication regarding our service. We received a letter that stated that our payment did not go though, I promptly called to update the credit card information and while on the phone I had the person run the card for the past due balance to make sure we were set. Then 6 months later out of the blue we did not receive service. Called the same day to only reach voicemail. I politely asked for a return phone call, nearing the end of the day, I had not received a call, I called back and received voice mail again. Called back again the next business day to be told our service has been stopped due to lack of payment for the last 6 months. What? no phone call letting us know, no invoices were ever sent, and here is the kicker; during that time I had called the office and ordered an extra bin that was delivered the next week! If my account was delinquent, why did they not tell us then? lol Since then the billing issue has been resolved but stuck with a BUNCH of garbage for another week. Thanks Jims for punishing us with your mistake. :-( The workers on the field are sufficient and timely never having problems with the actual service if you can suffer through the staff you have to actually do business with. I guess when you are the only trash service around you can treat customers like the business you are in, trash. read more

Trash support during the 1.5 years I used them was fair - but one must know two things: (1) They don't accept yard waste. They do not provide any yard waste containers and if they find bags of yard waste in your trash, they'll take the effort to remove them and leave them on your curb. (2) They are very unaccepting of your leaving additional large/bulky items. Compared to all other trash companies I've had experience with, they were the worst. So.. decided the cancel service with them and then the nightmare began. They were totally unprofessional. We agreed upon a pickup date for the trash cans and it took FOUR weeks for them to actually come by and take away the trash cans! Had to keep calling and reminding them that the cans had not been picked up. Such a frustrating experience but, it appears - like Rusty S. experienced - this is how they operate.
