As first-time homebuyers who were new to the area without any word-of-mouth recommendation to our avail, we were extremely meticulous and selective in choosing our realtor. After spending hours sifting through the reviews of many potential realtors, we made a handful phone calls to meet and interview some of them. After meeting with Jin, who was professionally amicable and very eager to work with us without being nosy, we did not feel the need to keep looking. Even though we had very high expectations for our realtor, Jin has met or exceeded our expectations on all fronts. (1) Responsive: Jin's active responses to our calls, texts, and emails were absolutely impressive. We would sporadically come up with questions, but no matter how trivial or frequent our questions might be, Jin answered them all in virtually real-time. If she could not respond right away, she always notified us when she would get back to us, which was never more than a few hours. It was as if Jin was working next to us at all times, freeing us from downtime and stress. She tirelessly encouraged us for more questions and maintained the same level of engagement throughout the few months of the entire home-buying process and after the settlement as well. (2) Diligent and honest: Jin's thorough responses were extremely helpful and equally impressive in quality. Whenever she was not completely certain about anything, rather than serving herself by trying to appear omniscient like most realtors, she would openly request that she would like to research further to confirm and supplement her responses. Jin would often perform her due diligence on foot if necessary, checking out neighborhoods and listings in person, in order to provide us the most accurate and up-to-date information, understanding that everything in real estate market can constantly change. (3) Not pushy: While Jin worked to narrow down candidate homes by steering us away from homes of bad values, she did not steer nor rush us into a decision. When we first saw our new construction home we later ended up purchasing, we considered putting down the deposit, but because we were still in relatively early stage of house searching, we feared that something better might be out there. Given our budget, preferences, future plans, and concern for resale value, Jin acknowledged that the house would be a great purchase but made no attempt at trying to nudge us into sealing the deal. Instead, she was empathetic and searched with us for other better options in the market until we were completely comfortable and assured. My wife and I had a great experience, working with Jin, in buying our first townhome and primary residence in Ashburn, VA. We just closed this month and we couldn't be happier with how everything went. We moved into town from NY, so we weren't as familiar with the area. AMAZING!!! Jin has been the most valuable resource/human we've encountered since moving to VA. Little backstory, my husband and I relocated from the West Coast last summer, we were looking for a realtor to help us find a rental property here in VA and we found Jin on Zillow.
