Working with Jessica was disappointing; I would not recommend her. In several respects, I found Jessica to be rude to me as a client. Examples: -I wrote Jessica asking for an appointment within 24 hours of the appointment itself. Her response chided me for my late request: "This is not the first time that I have requested 24 hours notice for appointments, it is memorable because it is a conversation that I rarely need to have with clients." The entire response is exceedingly unbecoming of a real estate agent. No house-seeker is trying to make things difficult for their agent; however some of us have tight travel schedules and are otherwise aware the D.C. market is lightning quick - She once wrote: "I invested a fair amount of time (5 hours total) on this property, for you." This is her business. It should not be the client's problem to monitor the realtor's time investment. Rather than scold the client, the realtor can simply drop them if they feel it is not worth their time. -I asked her to schedule time so that contractors could scope out a project for a prospective property. Though she agreed to the time, she completely missed the appointment after I had gone through a great deal of effort to consolidate the times at her request. She apologized, and made up the time, but even so I find this manner of conducting business rude, i.e., put an emphasis on the realtor's time and disregard the client's time. In my view, real estate professionals are in a line of work where they should expect to accommodate their clients, and then of course receive a commission. It seems Jessica's expectations is that her clients will accommodate her own schedule, and then pay her for the privilege. That said, she has some pros: she is responsive and can negotiate on your behalf. read more

When it was time to sell my condo, I started to research agents. I looked at the large and small. Calls to the large firms, made me feel unimportant.
