While I was getting the pedicure THE OWNER came over & started the dip powder manicure. After she did my pinky nail I kindly told her I really did not like the color & I'd like to pick a new one before she did anymore. I was going for red & it was more of an orange/red than red. Instead of stopping & removing the dip powder off of JUST ONE NAIL, she pushed back & argued with me. Saying yes it's orange & I can't change it. I was in disbelief. She did two more nails & I told her again I do not like that color I'd like to pick a new one. She told me again that I can't change it & if I took it off I had to do a regular manicure instead & that they'd give me a top coat that makes it last longer. I calmly said that is not what I came here or what I am paying for. I was not rude nor disrespectful. She ignored me & proceeded to finish my entire right hand. I finally told her I'm not doing this color, stop. She rudely put the cotton ball pieces with nail polish remover & tin foil on my right hand then walked away. I was under the impression she was going to bring the colors over so I could choose a new color....she did not come back over. I finally realized she refused to start a new manicure because of the time. I'd understand if I showed up last minute with no appointment but I didn't. I did not show up last minute asking for a dip powder manicure at 6:45pm (they close at 7pm). My appointment was for 5:30pm & I was on time. She did not come over to my pedicure chair until around 6pm (she was not with another customer in those thirty mins as it was not busy. She was doing tasks around the salon which I understand needs to be done but if you have a customer who wants a service that will take a certain amount of time I don't understand why the customer would not be taken care of first). It was around 6:15 when she did my pinky nail & i told her I didn't like the color. FOR THE LIFE OF ME I cannot understand why instead of listening to a paying customer & stopping after one nail, she as THE OWNER of this place continued & blatantly ignored that I was unsatisfied. Instead of beginning the process of removing just the one pinky nail & allowing the time for me to get the manicure & color I actually wanted she was rude, disrespectful & unprofessional. The wonderful nail tech Esther that I always book with was supporting me & trying to communicate to her the color I wanted but the owner literally ignored her & kept going. I am still in utter disbelief. If she had stopped after the first nail, then she could have started on the other untouched, clean nails with the color I wanted & finished with the pinky nail. To be honest I am so angry. I booked this appointment bc this is the only day & time I had available to get my nails done before going away. There were multiple other things I had to get done tonight. Instead I am calling other salons seeing if anywhere could take me. My toes nails had barely dried before I had to rush over to another nail salon in Brewster (New Sunny Ria Nail & Spa) who graciously took me in & did my dip powder manicure in the SAME AMOUNT of time that was left at this salon. While the dip powder manicure from New Sunny Ria isn't exactly what I was looking for, I am grateful they took me in & actually care about taking care of their customers/customer satisfaction. I recommend going there instead of here bc they were pleasant, attentive & kind. The nail techs at New Sunny Ria took the time to help me pick the color & made sure I was happy with it. One nail got slightly messed up & can you believe it, they didn't kick me out or tell me too bad, they actually fixed it for me even though it was after close! This nonsense at Mint completely derailed my entire night, I did not plan to have to drive 15mins to another salon & pushing back my busy schedule because THE OWNER of Mint didn't feel like doing her job. Just like Mint closes at 7pm, I have a timeline to stick to as well. Unfortunately, by the time my manicure at New Sunny Ria was finished, the other things I needed to get done were no longer an option bc of the time. Again, I made an appointment with at Mint with ample time for the services I was looking for. Not to turn this into a journal entry but I cannot believe this happened & how my time was disrespected & wasted. I typed all of this out so that anyone who reads this is aware. CUSTOMERS BEWARE. Mint nails does not care about your satisfaction or time. I am disgusted by how I was treated & the behavior. It's unfortunate bc the nail techs I've had, Tommy, Esther, & one other woman whose name I did not get are wonderful. At this point, I would recommend going any where else. I will no longer be telling people to come here either. I am so disappointed. For something that was supposed to be relaxing, it ruined my night.

I know, such a drama queen haha. I woke up this morning in the mood to treat myself to a pedi and with so many options it can sometimes feel very overwhelming if you haven't found your go to spot. Called up a random spot and right away from the voice of the person on the phone (I think she's the owner) I knew this would be a great place to try. I was able to be fit in within a couple of hours of calling and it was SO easy to book a pedicure. As soon as you walk in the same person is ready to great you with a smile. She might be wearing a mask but her smile radiates through. I got there a little early but within moments of waiting and fun music playing in the background, time flies here. Sitting in their comfy pedicure chair with a back massage was just what I needed to relax. The water was at the perfect temperature and she listened to me wanting it warmer and even the shape and length of the nails. This pedicure was so detailed and exactly what I needed. My toes look brand new and I love how easy it was to pick my color. You sit down, pick from their nail color swatch and sip on your favorite little drink. Coffee, soda or water. The sprite was the perfect pick me upper. Bottom line, awesome spot, incredible technicians and super detail oriented pedicure.

This was obviously a misunderstanding (she said "two" but meant "twelve"), yet instead of acknowledging the mistake, I was told it was MY fault and I had to pay a $20 cancellation fee. This felt unfair, especially since I've often been left waiting 30 minutes or more for appointments here in the past. It seems the salon values their time and money more than their customers'. My nails usually come out average, and the prices are higher than other salons that provide the same--or better--results. Between the lack of respect, inconsistent service, and now being penalized for their error, I won't be returning.

I hate leaving negative reviews, but this experience was truly awful. I made an appointment to get a dip manicure and ended up having to return a week later to get them redone. I've been getting dip manicures for approximately 6 years at other salons, so I would say I'm pretty well-versed in the process and know what to expect. Unfortunately, my manicure was awful. The first manicure: Instead of soaking the previous dip off, my nail tech only used the electric drill. Some salons do this, so I wasn't too concerned. However, she drilled way too much, to the point where I was in a lot of pain and felt an intense burning sensation. I indicated that she was hurting me, and she lowered the intensity of the drill, but she left all of my nails extremely thin and in pain. That has never happened to me before. Also, my nail tech did not apply a top coat; she used the adhesive that she had been applying between layers of powder (I know this because the glue bottle never left her hand). While waiting for my nails to dry, the nail tech kept touching my nails, which left noticeable fingerprints in all of them. Instead of dipping my nails in the powder, she spooned the powder on top of my nails. Unsurprisingly, all 10 of my nails either cracked or chipped within 24 hours. Usually, a dip manicure lasts me 4 weeks. This manicure didn't last a day. Some of my nails chipped so badly that it took part of my nail with it. I called Gina to let her know what was happening, and she immediately offered to redo my manicure for free, which I was very grateful for. Second manicure: I went back to the salon to get my manicure redone a week later (I had work and couldn't do it any sooner than that). When I re-explained what had happened (specifically the lack of top coat), Gina denied it and insisted that my nail tech had used a top coat. She then started filing off the old dip using the drill, causing the cuticles on 5 of my fingers to bleed. I asked her to soak the dip off instead, so she soaked 2 of my nails. I assumed she would soak the rest, but she didn't. Instead, she started applying the new dip on top of the old dip. I asked her to please remove the old dip before doing the new manicure, and she told me not to worry because she would just file everything at the end and "make it even." I was very confused. Even though the new manicure is 24 hours old in the attached pictures, there is significant growth near the cuticles because Gina redid the manicure starting where the old manicure was instead of doing an entirely new manicure from the cuticle edge. Because I asked for clear dip, you can also see the cracks in the old dip underneath the new dip. Additionally, Gina cut all of my nails really short, even though I said I wanted to keep them long. I asked for pointy almond, but instead I got what looks to be round. I'm really shocked at the quality of both of these manicures. Like I said, I've been going to this salon for many years and have never had a problem. This is the first time I've done dip at this salon. It really seems like they are not confident in the dip techniques. I have genuinely never had a worse manicure than this. Although I'm thankful that Gina offered to redo the manicure, I am not happy with the results. I don't think I can come back here for a dip manicure again.
