The worker (who I suspect was the owner?) was kind enough to box them up for me so they wouldn't get damaged on the flight home. The store is clean and well-organized without sacrificing the treasure hunting charm I look for in a record store. It would've been a great experience even if I hadn't found anything. I was excited to visit the new and used book store that recently opened in Bellevue. It's been a…read morelong time since Bellevue had a book store, so this is a welcome addition. The vibe in the store is noticeably peaceful. The tasteful music, lighting, and comfy seating is immediately welcoming. The space has room to grow, and a glance in the back room with its stock of books indicates that growth will be coming. As it is now, the shelves are organized by genre and alphabetically. I noticed a lot of familiar authors in the fiction books and many interesting titles in nonfiction. If my tbr pile was not already so large, I would have been tempted to buy more books than I did. I had a nice conversation with Fearless, one of the owners. He's a great listener as evidenced by how he listened to my motor mouth go on and on. He's a prolific reader, so if you want advice about your next read or just want to talk books, he's your man. Fearless says they are hoping to make the store a place where people feel comfortable enough to hang out and have a cup of tea or coffee. There are tables and chairs for working or just sitting and talking. The website indicates they sometimes buy books, but also accept donations. If you're wanting to support a local book shop, give 2 Dads a go.

A great 1st edition show focusing on comics and comic art. The show is being promoted by the same…read moregroup who started up Emerald City, Rose City and Vancouver Expo and others. All successful shows before they sold them off. There were several top artist attending including Johnny Giang, Chrissie Zullo, Ryan Kincaid, The Janimal, Chris Giarrusso and Mog Park. Several vendors selling all kinds of merch. There was a cool panel that was pretty good too. Sketch Up had 3 artist doing free sketches for the attending audience. Many were funny and exciting to watch. Hearing their stories of their careers was quite entertaining. A drink and draw Friday night was open to anyone. After each round they are rated by a group of judges awarding prizes. And as the night grew so did the art into something else. Cosplayers were in attendance but were not a big part of the show. That could change in future dates. It did not stop them in bringing their best to flaunt infront of all those around. And there were several show stoppers. If you do have a chance to attend I do recommend especially now. Prices are low and I don't believe that will stay.

I started out looking for the chains at Tractor supply where the salesman told me they would fit my Troy Bilt for sure. I got them home and they looked more like they would fit on a small garden tractor tire. I even had a picture of the very weird size (4.80-8). When I was taking them back to the Tractor Supply store, I remembered there was a small engine shop on the way so I stopped there. The clerk there, told me he didn't have anything, but referred me to Northern Tool. I decided on Lowes instead because I purchased the snowblower there and they would have to have them, I thought. Well, I thought wrong and the guy there referred me to Ty's Outdoor Power, who then referred me to Midwest Tire, who then referred me to Michael Todd and Co. I thought when I walked into the building that I had to be in the wrong place because it looked more like a law office when I headed upstairs to where the arrows pointed. I proceeded into an office and a lady ushered me to the person that knew about chains. A few minutes later I met this wonderful wonderful lady named Pat Sammon who instantly pulled up the tire size from her catalog and wrote everything I needed down on a name card she gave me. As I thanked her and headed out the door and down the stairs, I stopped and thought "what are you doing stupid? You've been all over town and this lady found your chains, go order them". Needless to say, Pat is having them shipped to my home and after running all over town searching for tire chains, this lady has a customer for life and I will spread the word, that Michael Todd Co. did what no other business in Omaha could do for me.

The proprietor was very welcoming and asked if I wanted help finding anything. No... just browsing. There is a lot to look at including Wiccan stuff and what may still be called new age healing stuff. They are also into reiki, about which I know nothing. The crystals are amazing. There are books that explain using things like crystals, rocks, chimes, and auras, for example. I was tempted by the tiny soapstone spirit animals, but decided not to buy any. I walked out with a candle and some intense. The crystals are so intriguing that I need to do some research. Then maybe l'll know what I'm looking for.

There's the main store front when you walk in and to the left is a little art gallery. Prices are decent. A lot of synchronicity and number work in play as items were ranging from $1.11 on up. Loved that as Ive been digging into angel numbers recently. Wish there was more advertisement as we definitely would have been in sooner! Living in Bellevue for the last 5yrs and Omaha all my years it's a wonder I've never heard of them till this week. Highly recommended checking them out.
