I found out the hard way after they completely botched my gutters in ways I could not discern until years later when another gutter company had to replace the whole thing with the correct pitch, correct gutter guards, and correct amount of downspouts. Legacy themselves lied to me about the maintenance recommendation of their gutter guards while installing them, claiming it was a hands off solution - "everything blows off, there's no maintenance." The combination of factors resulted in poor water flow (eventually a full blockage within a few years), exacerbated ice dams, and damage to my home. Legacy absolved themselves of any responsibility because they were a subcontractor on the job. I have yet to speak to the owner after repeated requests. They are blaming the roofing company (and me) for it all. Just so you know the kind of characters you're dealing with here. To be clear, as a sub-contractor on a job to install gutters, Legacy still has a standard to meet regardless whose designs are being executed. The expectation is that they install gutters with the proper slope, advise which gutter guards fit the environment, install gutter guards in the correct orientation (so they don't drip water back onto the house), and inform customers of any maintenance requirements accurately. Both the end customer and the roofing company rely on Legacy's "expertise" and trust that they would do good work. A typical homeowner cannot quality check gutter work, and Legacy has evidently taken advantage of this trust. I have never seen a business behave in such a disgusting way and I highly encourage anyone looking for gutter work to find literally anyone else for the job.
